Gotham Knights is one of the biggest releases still to come in 2022. As the first open world return to the world of Batman since 2015, we were incredibly excited upon its initial reveal, especially with the WB Games Montreal team at the helm — where are our Arkham Origins fans at? However, as time has gone on and delays have left us twiddling our thumbs, there was a lot of confusion surrounding what kind of game Gotham Knights is shaping up to be. Another single player experience? Or online live service type?
Luckily, we’ve taken a page out of Batman’s book and investigated for clues, rooting out everything that you should know about Gotham Knights. And to make things even easier, you can check it out over on the Push Square YouTube channel, where we’ve rounded everything up into 42 facts.
This covers release dates, editions, platforms, story, the progression system and more, and suffice to say having a clearer understanding of what Gotham Knights is offering has caused our anticipation levels to steadily creep their way back up. Plus there is a part of us that just can’t help but be excited about facing off against more of the series' iconic villains, and experiencing a brand new story.
Give the video a watch and let us know what you’re thinking about the game. Is this a welcome return to Gotham?

@paulbuck1996
I'll be playing it day 1095.
@GuttyYZ yessir. When you can get it for $5 and tweet screenshots and no-one cares anymore. I did that with RDR2 and GoW
I definitely followed a similar path with this game. I was super excited after hearing it deals with the Court of Owls. Then I got brought back down to earth after the gameplay was shown. But then the latest stuff from the ign first has kind of gotten me back on board a bit.
Very curious to see how it turns out.
I'll be playing this as soon i get my mitts on it..cant wait..
i’ll be playing it on one day of
they made origins ffs , i know it’s gotta be good !
@PhhhCough I will Definitely be playin day one, but Watching the Batgirl footage. I would like there to some kind of "block/counter" flow thrown in with the gameplay. Just like the Arkham games, or Ghost of Tsushima. If they have it in this game, and I missed it, please excuse me, and correct me if I am wrong. And if I am wrong, I will be forgoing all other games to play this for the next couple of decades.....
@Toypop i love origins , it’s getting more appreciation nowadays but it still isn’t enough . all it really needs is a remaster , & i believe that would really change things about it . i put origins above knight and asylum objectively ; i get the accolades for asylum and all , and the irreplaceable atmosphere - but god damn the game has just aged man , the enemy variety and boss fights is lacking & the gameplay is weak , and the limitations are glaring ; but the killer croc segment and scarecrow put it above knight . city on the other hand is an oddball to me because origins does some things better , but city is the foundation of it .
even though i like knight better than asylum and the gameplay , combat , and stealth is the best in the series , but it’s missing what the other games did i guess because a lot of their resources went into the batmobile .
origins and knight are my top 2 nonetheless .
@Toypop the pc version was really buggy at launch I think that had something to do with it
I hate to be cynical, but... With all the other high-profile delays going on these past few years, I wouldn't be surprised to see Gotham Knights notch itself an additional delay as well. It's hard to get excited about release dates anymore. Prove me wrong, Warner Bros.
@Would_you_kindly They didn't even bother to completely fix the PS3 version, when I played it years after release Origins was still buggy.
I feel it will be kinda...for kids, and not dark at all.
@KidBoruto I remember playing the pc version & there being a bug that stopped you getting into one of the fast travel tower things so it blocked progression played the PS3 version through ps now & it worked fine though
@Would_you_kindly Good to know, thanks!
