Tchia developer Awaceb has shared a fresh look at its sweet, upcoming indie game all about exploration and island life, inspired by the New Caledonia islands of the South Pacific. Narrated by game director Phil Crifo, a whole nine minutes of footage introduces us to new gameplay mechanics and a surprisingly in-depth ukelele-playing feature.
The tropical title continues to look lovely, with a PS5, PS4 release set for next year. Later on in the video, we venture out to sea and eventually underwater. Using the Soul Jump mechanic, you can take control of animals that inhabit the island. Crifo demonstrates this by possessing a dolphin and then jumping out of the ocean to then take control of a bird.

This looks lovely. Aside from the rough framerate and despite the survival elements, this looks so much like my kind of thing. This has shot up on my list of 2023 games I want to check out.
This looks absolutely delightful.
Looks like Naughty Dog inspired a lot of developers to implement the guitar mechanic on to their video games. Seeing that mechanic pop up more in other games after TLOU Part II.
Tchia still looks beautiful! I'll be sure to check this game out next year.
Who's that girl?
A new Spiderman deity?
