Ubisoft is about to make good on its promise of shuttering the online services of some of its older PS3 titles. If you have any lingering digital business that needs tending, now is the time, as the plug will officially be pulled this Saturday, 1st October. The full list of affected titles can be seen below.
- Assassin's Creed II
- Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
- Assassin's Creed Revelations
- Driver San Francisco
- Ghost Recon Future Soldier
- Rayman Legends
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist
In addition, players will lose the ability to download single-player DLC for Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Far Cry 3 from that point onward, so if you are the hyper-specific person affected by this shutdown, don't say we didn't warn you!
Will you be diving in once more, for old time's sake? Do you miss the glory days of the Assassin's Creed multiplayer scene? Pour one out for those we lost in the comments section below.

good ol 7th gen . best gen ever , RIP .
Rayman Legends is also a legend for its trophy list. I imagine by shutting the server, nobody will be able to obtain the platinum
Weird how they never Remastered/Ported Rayman Origins but Rayman Legends got all the love.
Unpopular opinion but I WISH they had Remastered Splinter Cell Blacklist for current & next-gen systems, me and my friends absolutely adored Co-Op Wave Mode. We sunk over 200-300 hours daily into it. I remember my still best friend would come over every week from Friday (right after school) to Sunday, on Friday from 5 to 11, then Saturday from 2 to 11, and Sunday from 2 to 11, for almost 2 months, we were addicted to the game, I was the Sniper who covered his a$$ while he went in head-first guns-a-blazing, surprisingly great team we were.
(Sighs) Fond memories.
This for Raman on vita aswell?
@NateGoesLive good point, that daily challenge trophy took me months to get..
Glad I got the online Trophies done for AssCreed Brotherhood and Revelations in 2020. Such poor, poor games - they were bizarrely overrated back in the day already and re-visiting them a decade down the line was painful to say the least.
I would love it if they brought back the multiplayer from Brotherhood in Mirage. Had some great times with that
@JustPlainLoco 200-300 hours daily?! That’s quite a feat.
I'm honestly surprised that any PS3 games have retained their online functions this long.
@Golem25 i must definitely have a case of nostalgia-itis coz I loved replaying them recently. Most probably down to the newer ass creeds taking approx 28473 hours to finish. It was just nice to have a straight forward story with a few collectibles thrown in, and no areas of the map basically locked off with level gating. Also they have gorgeous soundtracks!
AC: Brotherhood was the first multiplayer thing I ever really got into and regularly played with friends. RIP, would love an experience like that again.
The official ubisoft list says DLC will be unavailable for PC versions of AC3, Brotherhood and Far Cry 3. "There will be no impact to the same single-player DLC on consoles, and you will continue to be able to download and play them after 1 October 2022."
Is your information correct in this article?
Ah I think I ran away with the article! So the servers for these games on ps4 will still continue? Ah that’s cool
