Itching for some fresh Crash Bandicoot fun? Well, it looks like a new game could potentially be announced at The Game Awards on 8th December, 2022. Funko Pops fan and YouTuber Canadian Guy received a pizza box package from Activision today, confirming that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is coming to Steam on 18th October, 2022.
But that’s not all! A sticker on the side of the package notes: “Hungry for more? Try our new Wumpa Pizza for $12.08.” While it could just be a coincidence, the price seems oddly specific, and is stylised the same way as Americans would date 8th December, 2022, which is when The Game Awards will take place. Host Geoff Keighley has done skits with the ‘Coot in the past, so it all fits.
Strong rumours earlier in the summer suggested there is a new multiplayer-focused Crash Bandicoot in development called Wumpa League, although the details are generally hazy. With the Microsoft and Activision deal still yet to complete, it means the title should safely launch on PlayStation platforms, assuming it’s not several years away.
Over to you, then, Geoff!

Naughty Dog should to make a Jak&Dexter sequel.
Last Crash Game to ever Release on Playstation and its probably that Wumpa Leaque Party Game....uuuff
Crash Bandicussy
Most likely Xbox exclusive -_-
Yea, probably Xbox exclusive.
@Sil_Am @Would_you_kindly Highly unlikely, they don't even own them yet.
I’m all in love the series
I WANT CRASH 5, BUT I PREDICT CRASH BASH REVIVAL.
@Would_you_kindly considering the deal can't be done until March 2023 at the earliest, this will be coming to playstation and most likely already have deals in place with playstation.
But this will be the last.
Wait, Crash 4 is just now releasing on Steam? That's weird.
@IonMagi I don't think so. Probably not Crash 5, but I'm guessing it'll be a spin-off game of some sort.
@get2sammyb @UltimateOtaku91 That's assuming the deal goes through in Europe, Asia, and the US. If any of the big 3 regions kick it back there's a good chance Activision and or Microsoft would call-off the acquisition as it wouldn't be lucrative to not be able to release anything in one or more of those regions.
@TowaHerschel7 The Deal wilm go through. Disney was allowed to buy half of the Media Industry so I doubt MS will face any challenges at the end. Especially since they have ties to the US Government
Gonna say it, Crash 4 sucked.
Cool more crash bandicoot is welcome.word up son
@TowaHerschel7 that's a good point, the CMA want longer to investigate the deal so there's no reason why other countries won't do the same. I think the deal will end up going through but with some added terms/guarantees that certain games never go exclusive.
@UltimateOtaku91 if that deal was done BEFORE the takeover started then yeh but if a deal isn't in place they can't make one now
@UltimateOtaku91 I got them confused with Bethesda tbh still Microsoft could've always made a deal with Activision to get this one exclusive it's unlikely they'd have paid on top of the 70 ish billion they're buying them for but not impossible
Interesting, especially as there was some talk that Wumpa League would be exclusive, or timed at least for PS?
Well at least they'll sell some actual copies if it launches on PlayStation.
Crash die-hards: "WUMPA LEAGUE CONFIRMED"
Liam Robertson: "Aw s***, here we go again"
@CRASH64 @IonMagi Yeah I am not hyped at all for Wumpa League (Crash Bash successor), would much rather we get Crash 5 or something similar.
