Here's a cheeky little scoop that we've only just caught up on: a new Deus Ex game is reportedly in development over at Eidos Montreal. This comes directly from reputable journalist Jason Schreier, who mentioned the project on Twitter. According to Schreier, the game is still "very, very early" stages, so don't go expecting to see this thing for a long time.
Still, it's nice to know that something is in the works at some level. This Deus Ex chatter follows on from the recent news that Onoma, the studio formerly known as Square Enix Montreal, is being closed. That company, along with Eidos Montreal (not to be confused with one another) was only recently snapped up by Embracer Group, which purchased numerous Western development outfits from Square Enix.
Hopefully Eidos Montreal is able to make its next Deus Ex project a reality, because we're certainly interested in seeing where the franchise could go next. After the revival and subsequent success of Cyberpunk 2077, the world is probably ready for more augmented human adventures.
What would you like to see from a new Deus Ex? Ask for this in the comments section below.

Hmm well it better wrap up the story from the second game. It was quite a cliff hanger. Very up for more Deus Ex though
I wish we could get a grounds up remake for the first game - as well as a new game in the series
Very happy with this news!! Played to death the last 2 Deus Ex, so a sequel would be so welcomed!!!
It would be nice to get one actually set during the time of the original. The two yellow ones are decent, but the original is an absolute classic.
Hopefully it's more of HR than MD.
Honestly don't even remember what the hell happened in MD.
More DE is good news tho
I did indeed ask for this.
For some reason I havenāt played any since the first one, which I absolutely loved at the time. Keeping my eye on this.
Awesome news <3
I want a remaster of deus ex human revolution first
Deus Ex, Homer Simpson gurgling noises
"very, very early" stages. Meaning a couple of developers overheard at a bar.
"What about this Deus Ex thing?"
"Fair point. The last one went down fairly well."
"Worth cashing in?"
"Might as well give it a go, see how we get on."
"This guy with you?"
Who?.. Hey, you're that hack from Forbes. Piss off."
I'm sure it'll be great with the $25 budget Embracer gives them.
This is Embracer, $20 says it's a remake of Invisible War.
...who am I kidding, I'll take it....
I asked for this.
Yay, looking forward to getting some more Deus Ex, hope it'll turn out well. Prefer this series over any reskinned copy Arkane makes.
Human Revolution still ranks highly in my favourites; the much improved Director's Cut edition was exceptional. However, I'm worried about starting Mankind Divided due to the early cliffhanger ending I've heard so much about.
@PiXiL I won't dispute HR is a great game, coz it is - but my advice (if you haven't already) go back to the original from 2000...granted, it's a bit archaic for today's standards; but imo still one of the greatest games ever made š
@ironcrow86 I actually have the Game of the Year Edition on CD-ROM as I got it free with an old graphics card. However, the game never worked! I'll give it a try when I next have a computer as I've just seen it on Steam and GOG (presumably it's patched for modern systems). Thanks.
@PiXiL
You can get Mankind Divided and it's DLCs for basically nothing these days. Both it and the dlcs are well worth playing, don't be dissuaded.
Good news. Gimme this and more legacy of kain. š
@mus422 I'd love to get remakes of 1 & 2, been wanting to play them.
@NEStalgia they could remake all of them with engine updates and Iād be in š¤£
@mus422 Critical as I am of naughty dog doing that... Yeah for DX, I'd be in!
