Another PS5 game seemingly ready to reveal its release date is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, according to Giant Bomb crew member Jeff Grubb. The reliable reporter posted to his Hive account — a new social media site meant to rival Twitter — that the game is "planned to be at The Game Awards. That should confirm the release date for March." This adds to one other report that Final Fantasy XVI will also announce its release date during Geoff Keighley's show.
Officially, the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel is only slated to launch next year, but constant speculation has pegged the PS5 title with a launch in March. Presumably, a brand new trailer with some gameplay will confirm the release date if the game is indeed planned to appear at The Game Awards.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will only add to the packed release schedule of early 2023, which already includes Forspoken, Dead Space, Hogwarts Legacy, Atomic Heart, Like a Dragon: Ishin!, the PSVR2 launch, and Resident Evil 4. Will you make time for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor during this busy period? Plan your year in the comments below.

Who needs surprises? Between this and FFXVI I'd imagine that's two of their big hitters spoiled. Must be infuriating for devs/ event organisers
What a start to the year we have here, Star Wars, Dead Space, Atomic Heart, RE4 and probably Forspoken will all be day ones!
Still think it should have been called Star wars: Sith:Risen Chaos. 😉
Anyway here's hoping for more varied locations and possibly a playable sith character or maybe an optional thing where you could be a Jedi or a Sith.
Can we spread the releases out please XD there are other months. Im already having to filter out games in February, dont need March to become the same
If this is anything like the last game, this is a definite purchase
How buggy was the original on release, or how was it received initially, as I didn't play until later on PS5. Because this is the one game I'd guarantee to get day one if it's working fine. Not going to pre order, but as with Elden Ring, I'm probably going to purchase it on the release day or the day after 😅 I'm hyped for this one
@Jey887 If the release dates themselves were leaked, I might see an argument that this would spoil a Game Awards surprise. Just knowing that they are going to announce a release date is stretching the definition of a spoiler. The publishers - or Keighley himself - would probably announce that the games would be at the Game Awards ahead of the show.
@Ravix It did have some bugs on release, including frame rate issues and some noticeable texture loading problems but this was later improved and then basically completely solved with the next gen patches.
@themightyant cheers. Just remembered this is next gen/current gen (PS5/seriesX) Exclusive isn't it? Might help with some of those things, anyway. you'd hope it'd be optimised at least lol. I definitely want to get it as soon to release as possible 😁
@Ravix Assume it will probably be built using the last game's engine as a base which should help (first game only came out in 2019, 4 years seems a push for a brand new engine). Plus they don't seem to have rushed it out for xmas 2022 which was rumoured early in the year. But frankly who knows. Will literally depend on how much they are rushing at the end.
With Resident Evil 4 and PSVR2 it'll be some time before I even look at this or many other games around that time to be honest
@themightyant it's unreal engine 4 it's nothing special . They didn't use Respawn engine for this game. Hopefully next game will be based on UE5 and see some improvements.
@Truegamer79 this sounds bad
I swear some months ago all the news sites were talking about a whole litany of Star Wars games jn development.
Can they hurry up cos I want them and they all seem to have gone totally dark except this one. I am excited for this one though. The first one had some limitations but I honestly thought it just felt great to play. Cant remember the last game that successfully delivered that ‘Jedi’ feel to gameplay.
@SilkySmile89 Good point I forgot it was UE4. But still even with turnkey engines like Unreal AAA devs often write their own shaders and other custom modules to fit the project. It's likely they will be using some of these again and building on them in a sequel, even UE5, rather than starting from scratch.
I’m ready. Just inject it into my eyes.
@Mostik @Danloaded I know right? So many good games releasing in 2023!
Besides FF16, I'm also looking forward to playing these games in 2023.
