Bandai Namco will release Tales of Symphonia Remastered on 17th February 2023 for PS4, the publisher confirmed in a new trailer. Featuring clips of combat, cutscenes, and general gameplay, the footage is viewable above. The JRPG was first launched on Nintendo Gamecube in 2003 before being ported to PS2 (Japan only) and then PS3 in 2014 for its first remaster.

Despite this being the company's second stab at a remaster of Tales of Symphonia, it still appears the PS4 release will run at a 1080p resolution at 30 frames-per-second. To date, the only version of the classic JRPG to run at 60fps is the initial Gamecube release.

Still, this is another title to add to the ever-growing list of games slated for release in the first few months of 2023. It will see competition from PS4 ports of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden, as well as big releases like Hogwarts Legacy and Like a Dragon: Ishin! Of course, not all these games will share the same target audience, but you're not going to be starved of something to play as we enter next year.

Alongside a standard digital version, a physical Chosen Edition is going up for pre-order on the Bandai Namco store. It contains a metal case, art prints, and stickers. Will you make time for Tales of Symphonia Remastered in February? Make the days last longer in the comments below.
