God of War Ragnarok Will Receive New Game Plus Mode in Spring 2023

Might have to replay it once the new game plus comes out

Can't wait to replay Ragnarok fully decked out. Though I wonder if that means the first fight with Thor will let me fight him with the Blades of Chaos & (Other Weapon)? If so I wonder if Thor will acknowledge I have the Blades of Chaos with me? Probably not but that would be a cool detail to include.

I wish I had just waited on the platinum but got too excited/eager. It would’ve been great to clean everything up on a NG+ play through

@CWill97 maybe some trophies attached to ng plus update so still could definitely be worth another run through

I wonder why it takes them such a long time to implement this, shouldn't be that hard no?

@TheMarinePS I think they're doing it alongside new projects and patches for GOW whilst avoiding crunch, so its a pretty cool feat

I'm tempted to just swap out Ragnarok for another game on my upcoming play list, so that I can go from the first run into the NG+ all at once.

I recall the NG+ for the 2018 game being a great experience, too. Looking forward to getting to the game in general later this Spring.

And they should put new trophies this time...

Developers how difficult is it to add an ng+ mode at launch?... if a developer Fromsoft, Capcom, and Square Enix can do it you can do it too.

Heck yeah, that is awesome news. Best single player game of the year to me. I buy a PS just for God of War and Last of Us. I am more into playing competitive games on Xbox and PC. I don’t play many single player story driven games. I would rather continue practicing my skills on shooters and fighting games online. But when Sony drops of a GOW or Last of Us i put everything down and play them. Never disappoint and are the gem’s of single player story driven games in the industry. I will for sure be coming back to this one for new game +

@TheMarinePS Certainly not considering they've done this years ago and devs to this day are having ng+ at launch.

@Nepp67 Sony do this alot, add NG+ as a free add on, that or ND's extra difficulties.

I’m still playing I’m a slow burner and jump between about three games at once.

I'll give it another go if there are a few new trophies. Such a great game.

@KaijuKaiser Forspoken really hooked me with the demo, at first I didn't really enjoy it but something clicked after a few hours with it and now I can't put it down. Really looking forward to the release

@TheMarinePS @Nepp67 I'm pretty sure they delay NG+ solely for player engagement reasons. The goal is to get people talking about the game again months after release to try to get more sales.

Too late in the day for me. I got the plat a few weeks ago then flipped the game for not alot less than i paid for it. If NG+ had been there from the start id have probarbly given it a shot as i loved the game.

I already have the Platinum for Ragnarok, but I'll play the NG+ before the next GOW game comes out. So probably in 4 or 5 years...

@KidBoruto Money talks. Trilogy or not, there will be another GOW game. Whether it's a reboot, remake, or spinoff...

I'd be fine with a re-release of GOW 1-3 for PS5. So I don't have to set up the PS3 to play them...

@KidBoruto GOW 3 Remastered is available for PS4. GOW 1 & 2 collection is available for PS Vita.

Hope it mixes up the combat encounters. Would be nice to be able to skip the slower parts as well. 2 playthroughs has more than enough cinematic walking and climbing, let me just do new, more challenging combat encounters and replay the boss fights.
