We’re not confident enough to say Project: The Perceiver will be a must have just yet, but it certainly looks promising. After an impressive debut earlier in the year, Chinese developer Papergames and its subsidiary 17ZHE Studio have showcased a whopping 45 minutes of footage from a prototype build of the upcoming PS5 and PS4 character action game.
Considering its length, this isn’t the most engaging gameplay video you’re likely to see – in fact, it largely centres on a series of combat gauntlets in largely samey environments. However, there’s clear promise here: the game looks like a mix of Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and that’s great inspiration from our perspective.
Clearly this is still somewhat early, and we’re unlikely to get our mitts on it for quite some time. After the jaw-dropping reveal trailer, though, it’s reassuring to see some substance here – it’ll be interesting to see whether Sony picks up this project, as it’s done with a number of the higher-profile Chinese games announced over the past few years.

Some great looking games coming from the Chinese gaming scene, definitely looking forward to them especially after stellar blade and genshin, but please also let it be Japanese dubbed 🙏
I find the Chinese audio in games to be just too fast that I don't get time to read the subtitles, sword and fairy together forever is a perfect example of that.
@UltimateOtaku91 Just one correction, Stellar Blade is Korean. Regardless, getting more variety in games from East Asia is definitely an exciting prospect!
Black myth wu kong is the game im looking for.and lost soul aside.but this looks interesting.word up son
Chinese Tsushima? No, thanks... Only waiting for Wu Kong from the chinese market, cuz the rest is pretty much "copy&paste/heavily inspired" by something already done by other developers.
I'm sure the predatory mtx will make EA look like your friend.
@UltimateOtaku91 We all know english dub is the best, even with anime.
@Snake_V5 I agree, I love funimation and Crunchyroll dubs. But for these Chinese games there no way they will get English dubbed.
@Snake_V5 blasphemy!!
I personally quite like chinese dub actually. Though I've never played a full length game with it.
Im hooked. The gameplay looks similar to shadow of mordor
no release date, but planned for ps4, so really shouldnt be ages away
Interested, however I'm not sure about the ui choice. It looks like a constant screen tear. I think I would get used to it, but initially it is jarring.
Go Dashi!! I like these sort of games. Maybe someday we get a Tenchu reboot?
Looks great but I have the feeling that they're not fine-tuned in the regards of precision, as souls games are.
Any game also being released for the PS4 will not be as good as it could have been. The end. Enough already. We're moving into year three of the PS5.
Imagine designing a game around a 10 year old 5400rpm platter harddrive. My god.
PS4 game? Are we still in 2020? Time to leave PS4 behind and go fully into PS5.
Please don't be souls like. Please don't be souls like.
A big reveal after the initial slick presentation. Combat still looks cool
