Capcom's remake of Resident Evil 4 is the headliner of Game Informer's latest issue, meaning the outlet will be sharing new details and footage from the PS5, PS4 title in the coming days and weeks. A short clip of gameplay has already been released, and it reveals remade sections from the church and stretches of the experience where you accompany Ashley. Check it out above.
Game Informer will also have a quick-fire interview with the game's producers to share as well as changes made going from the GameCube title to this PS5, PS4 remake following its trip to Capcom's headquarters in Japan. Impressions will then be shared from the church, cemetery, and house battle segments, all of which take place in the first few hours of the original game. The outlet says these locations translate to the first and fifth chapters of the remake.

Never played the original before, but this looks fun. Can't wait!
I might just get this and i am not the biggest horror fan in general. But have liked RE games long ago. Still didn’t buy RE2&3 remakes but this one just looks like it could be special. I played it back on GameCube a long time ago.
Where's my demo already capcom
This game is going to be amazing, there aren't many games I play day one anymore but this is a certainty
@Green-Bandit
I'd recommend giving the RE 2 remake a go if you've liked some other entries in the series. It's on the shorter side, if run time matters to you, but it does encourage replayability.
This is going be the first re game I buy at launch since the original re4 on ps2 lol, but seriously Capcom has been making some great re games lately,just beat village and had a lot of fun
Good lord the RE engine is impressive looking. Honestly the most impressive engine I think I've ever seen. Right up there with the FOX engine.
RE4+SF6=The year of Capgod.
Genuine hype. Favorite game of all time, one of the most confident pre orders I've ever put in.
I haven't played RE4 since the PS2 release. I'm not even much of a horror fan anymore but maaaaaan does this bring back some feels for me.
Okay, this is an incredibly nitpicky thing to point out, but... I really don't like those rain effects. Too... I dunno, globular?
@JB_Whiting agreed. It looked decent except that rain. That was Terrible. It looked almost exactly like the bugged rain effects in the gta remasters cash grab.
It looked way off. You're not alone in that.
@Gamer83 i wouldn’t mind playing it, heard nothing but good things. Game length don’t bother me, as long as it’s good it can be 5 hours or 100 hours, tho I do think some games run a little longer than need be these days to justify the price. I was slightly interested in RE8 Village when it released also. I thought it looked good.
Looks really good. Have they made Ashley older in the remake? I wonder if she’ll have a bigger part?
@MacRider you’ve got to be one of the few gamers left on earth who didn’t get around to playing this and it’s million ports. Congrats my friend. Hope you do enjoy it when you do play it.
@MFTWrecks I’m glad you said something because I noticed the exact same thing. Great looking graphics, but that rain…
@JB_Whiting I didn't notice until you said something but it does look really weird
That rain looks awful and the overall graphics just don't look any better than the RE2 and RE3 remakes on last gen systems. The lack of graphical progress is really getting annoying now; we're in the 3rd year of this generation and most third parties simply aren't pulling their weight when it comes to visuals. I guess they have no real incentive to when they continue to make cross-gen games and have no hardware to sell. To date there's still nothing that comes close to Demon's Souls visuals, and that was a launch title!
@Korgon All we need to top it all off is for Capcom to announce a new Onimusha.
@Green-Bandit
Village is also a great game. One of my favorite in the RE series and my current favorite PS5 game overall.
I`m very curious about the VR contents they mentioned in the
1st Trailer. Cant wait for it either way
@neonpizza
Doubt they’ll do either of those.
5 is not beloved and the first one I remember hearing a ton of complaints about once released. I really loved it at the time because it fine-tuned the mechanics of 4 and Mercenaries remained addictive. I revisited it within the last year or two and thought I beat it, I was surprised how dull I found it. You didn’t mention it, but 6 will be resoundingly ignored as well.
Code Veronica is terrific, but they’ve ignored it as much as they could over the years so I’m not hopeful that will change, particularly since they jumped right to 4 in the remake plans.
I think 4 will be the last remake in the series for the foreseeable future, unless they consider a new remake of the original since the Gamecube remake has already been out for 20 years, but that seems doubtful too since they started this all with redoing 2.
@JB_Whiting Honestly it looks like as if it were a filter over the screen
@truerbluer My guy why do you care? It still looks good, don't be such a graphics lover.
@Green-Bandit I'm in the same boat as you, still didn't buy 2 and 3 Remakes but did recently finish 7 and oh boy, was it an experience! The atmosphere was awesome and the setting is perfect.
@KundaliniRising333 Yes, thank you; that's a good comparison! As much as I love the RE engine - and I really do - I feel like they've hit a brick wall with it, and it needs an overhaul. Like how they upgraded their MT Framework every now and then: it kinda needs a rework, especially for these current gen machines. It just still looks, kinda RE7-ish?
@Gamer83 that makes me want to play it even more. I have heard mostly great things about it. I love Capcom, they are one of the few companies i feel like when they are doing good the industry as a whole is just better.
@extragood yeah that was a big change in the series for them. Glad you liked it. I love Capcom, as i said earlier, there is only a handful of companies i feel this way about, but when Capcom is doing well i just feel like the industry as a whole is better. Far and few i say that about, but thats the love and respect i have for them.
@Would_you_kindly way off usually it's like a week before the game comes out & there's 2 months left
@Green-Bandit
Agree. I started gaming on NES in 1987 and Capcom has always been there providing some of the best experiences.
I hate most of the resident evil games. Especially the new ones 7 & village. I've tried them all & they are just not for me & yet resident evil 4 is my favourite game of all time. I bought a game cube just for this game. I consider it a masterpiece & completely separate from the series.
N.i.c.e. cant wait for resident evil 4 remake.word up son
@Gamer83 i started at the beginning of the Super Nes and Sega Genesis, had both and i agree, Capcom was always awesome. To see them come back and doing what they are today is great news for fan’s, i couldn’t be happier and will pick up RE4 and SF6 this year.
Both on my list as well. I'm actually getting more hyped for the RE 4 remake as we get closer to it than I initially was. It seems like the devs have leaned more into the horror aspect of the series than the ones for the original release did so I'm all for that.
Not surprising that Resident Evil 4 Remake is going to be their next big spread.
I'm sure it's going to be alot of gamers' most anticipated March title besides Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, now that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been delayed to April 28.
I have mixed feelings. On one hand after playing the 2 and 3 remakes I have high desire for this 4 remake. On the other hand I may have played the original on PS2 too much with many replays and that this remake could feel too familiar. With much less replays the 2 and 3 remakes were fresh to play, also the jump was huge between PS1and PS4 Pro.
