The PSVR2 launch games just keep on coming! Quietly confirmed on the PS Store itself, rhythm game Drums Rock looks locked to release alongside Sony’s new-gen headset on 22nd February. The title, already available on Meta Quest 2, takes inspiration from old-school Guitar Hero games, and sits you in front of a virtual drum kit, where you’ll need to hammer out beats in order to defeat goblins and other ghastly creatures.
The title features a ton of music, spanning genres like heavy metal, nu-metal, and classic rock. You’ll also find a full campaign mode, unlockable content – like drum kits and sticks – and online leaderboards. It’s probably not going to be your cup of tea if you don’t like the style of music, but the gameplay looks rock solid and reviews have been positive on other platforms, so it’s another game to consider when you grab your headset next month.

Should be a fun alternative to Beat Saber, just a shame I'm pretty hopeless at these kinds of games
So not the official version of the songs, but covers? That's a shame.
Also other than a handful of big songs it looks like the rest I've never heard of.
It's a shame Harmonix have gone as I'm sure they could have made some good rhythm vr games for psvr2
I assume the PSVR2 controllers have haptic feedback too, so I'm guessing they'll be some tactile feedback when you actually strike the drum.
Without that it'd be not so good methinks.

So many rhythm games.... Some is good, but between all these VR rhythm games, plus Hi-Fi Rush outside PS, that's a whole lot of rhythm games going on.
I think Synth Riders and Touch the Beat still seem like the two I'm most interested in for now, but probably won't get both.
Have they got kick drums mapped to a drum you hit with a stick? That might drive me crazy.
Looks good, might pick it up at some point, probably not day 1 as will have enough to keep me occupied for a while.
I saw the article pic and thought that this was a new Brutal Legend for a sec.

@JP80 Well, they aren't really gone, they're still supporting Rock Band 4/Rivals with new songs released regularly, but I don't think they're working on much else.
<sigh> I miss playing Rock Band on my ION Drum Rocker... unfortunately I bought it for Xbox 360, so the kit is currently not compatible with any current-gen system

This could be fun. Synth Rider is my fave rhythm VR game. Probably my most played genre in VR.
On second thought, not having a kick drum could be a problem
