Striking Distance Studios has updated The Callisto Protocol on PS5, PS4 to version 3.01, which implements a New Game+ option and fixes a number of issues. The patch is available to download now, and allows you to carry over all your weapons, upgrades, and Callisto Credits into a second playthrough. They'll be at the first Reforge station in the game.
Bugs and glitches have also been addressed, but unfortunately, they do make unlocking one of the Trophies a lot harder. Previously, you've been able to load the game up after the final boss and unlock the digital gong for beating The Callisto Protocol on the hardest difficulty by simply switching to Maximum Security there and then. This exploit is no longer possible with patch 3.01.
Elsewhere, performance is said to have been optimized across all platforms, and you'll no longer take any damage when climbing over obstacles. Below you'll find the full patch notes for The Callisto Protocol update 3.01.

Nice. I've always wondered how much more that fully upgraded baton slaps. I only made it just below maximum because I wasted some points in different guns. Luckily, I noticed rather early that melee is where it's at and focussed on it more after. Will give this update a go and mop up the Platinum.
@KaijuKaiser It's not that strange. Games are really expensive (especially in the current economic climate) so 6 and 7 ("good" games) out of 10 games just aren't going to be worth full price to most people.
@KaijuKaiser I agree with you. I'm currently playing through this and its what I expected and I love that. I wanted some great visuals, gore, jump scares and it delivers. I like taking my time and soaking in the experience. So far it's really good though a bit janky in combat, but maybe just me. If you crank up some settings to 10 I find it a better overall experience. The defaults were to slow at 5.
Probably won't play it until the DLC gets released, but thanks for the update.
Already got the Platinum and transferred the game over to my HDD to clear space on my SSD.
New Game+ is always a nice addition, though.
Mabey, I'll go back and play it again around Halloween 🎃.
Well i can grab the last trophy now. I know people have done it on hard first time but i heard about new game plus and decided to wait lol
I think this is a game that could really do with a demo, so people could try it. If a game is over £50 (I think I briefly saw if on PSN for £44.99 and almost got it), I’m not going to take the roll-the-dice approach. If a game is £69.99, I just look at my backlog, and think no way. I’ll get it on sale at Christmas
Be nice if they fixed the HDR so the blacks weren't so washed out. Not sure why they made it like that. Same thing happened with RE2 and 3 remakes in certain areas. It looks rubbish.
Sounds good! It was a solid romp that i’d gladly play through again overpowered and on a higher difficulty
Sweet I love this new game + max out the character for extreme whoop ass!
@Wiggo I've been hearing rumors that the planned DLC might be scrapped now, due to the game's poor performance sales wise.
As for myself, I'm waiting for the game to drop down to $20 New in a few years.
@KidBoruto oh right. First I've heard of that.
I think I've already paid for it too haha
@KaijuKaiser For me it was just that it was..just decent. It was hyped up to be the 2nd coming of Dead Space and it's no where near. It's not a bad game by any means, but its nothing special either. It's not scary in the slightest, the enemy designs are boring af and there's no real reason to replay it (at launch anyway, NG+ helps now). No unlockables etc which is where survival horror games thrive for most people, I think.
@KaijuKaiser Misleading advertisements, enemy designs are immensely lacking(And especially compared to Dead Space), dodge system is wonky and requires little skill, and just not scary. For 70$ people expect a ***** game to work and that wasn't the case which upset a lot of people on PC.
This is great news!
I'm about halfway through the campaign now and loving the game so far. I don't and still don't understand the hate this game got. Definitely a strong 8 out of 10 for me.
How is a game that has barely only been released to the public up to major version 3 already???? Was that its first release? What did versions 1 and 2 constitute?? 🤔🤪
I'm playing this at the mo and I'm really liking it. It's Dark, haunting and has a great atmosphere. Great game imo.
@KaijuKaiser There was a huge amount of pre-release coverage of this game and people felt hoodwinked when the final product didn't live up to it.
