The Yakuza Like a Dragon games love their wholesome side stories, and they don't get much more wholesome than this. Upcoming action RPG Like a Dragon: Ishin! features an especially in-depth optional activity titled 'Another Life', which lets you take a much-needed break from the title's dramatic plot and bloody action.
Yes, as the headline says, you can start your own farm. You can grow food, harvest it, and then get cooking with your fresh produce. You can even adopt pets and add some life to your humble abode. Knowing this crazy series, there are bound to be some worthwhile rewards tied to your farming progress, so you'll probably want to get stuck in.
Are you looking forward to Ishin's release next month? Put your katana down for a minute and plant some seeds in the comments section below.

A Cabaret Farm would be wicked.
Okay that's actually really cool lol. I look forward to it.
Still all about the hoes.
"Wholesome"....that's......a stretch in this series, lol. Man, the economy minigames are just life consuming and take more gameplay time than the actual games!
However, are those beans Yuki? No. Is the dog Yuki? No it is not. It is therefore inferior. 2/10.
Favourite series of all time. Will likely be busy with PSVR2 games for a while, but will pick it up at some point.
Guess I know where I will spend most of my time playing this game.
@thetraditional No joke, I spent a year and a half playing on and off before I finally finished the life sucking cabaret game! And even after all that grinding, I still didn't have enough cash to max out the skill trees, lol!
@thefourfoldroot1 YOU?! Listing a mere pancake game as your favorite series of all time?! Impossible!
Looks sweet. I'm in.
The economy/business-based minigames are my some of my favourite parts of Like A Dragon games, so no complaints from me on this one.
No one does mini games like this series. I'm sure I'll lose too many hours to this!

Lol, well, if Astro Bot RM was a true series that might qualify, but I’ve spent hundreds of hours in the Yakuza series happily getting the plats and loving all the activities. It took over from FF as my favourite series ever quite easily.
I’ve just played the entire taxi mode in Yakuza 5 and it was brilliant. I’m well up for these larger games within a game.
My most favourite franchise. Absolutely love doing the sides stuffs in the Yakuza games, so this sounds great. Easily my most anticipated game this year.
@thefourfoldroot1 You, sir, are a man of fine tastes.
Game keeps getting better and better.
Wow they added Cooking Mama into Yakuza, I love it 😂
