This Wanted: Dead trailer sure is a thing. Where do we even begin? It’s got hand-drawn cutscenes, then FMV of Stefanie Joosten cooking cakes, then some of the worst in-game cinematics we’ve seen in decades. The voice acting is all over the place, and the gameplay looks scrappy as hell – but there’s a weird, unexpected charm to it all. It looks like the kind of game you could find in a bargain bin for the PS2 in the mid-2000s, and we unapologetically love that about it.
The release date is 14th February – chef’s kiss – so we don’t have to wait too long to find out whether the B-movie vibes land or not. Look out for our review in the coming days, too!

This looks strangely....compelling?
It'll either be a ton of fun or a complete train wreck.
I look forward to the reviews.
Ooh, the physical copy for PS5 sells at GameStop for $59.99, and it’s a hybrid slasher/shooter from the makers of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. Looks interesting, sounds promising, and I always like cheesy FMV and janky cinematics. May wait for it to go on sale, though.
@ZoSo can't it be both?
In another generation of gamers when physical games are a thing of the past, maybe nextgen w/ PS6 if the new model is anything to go by, nobody is going to know what a “bargain bin” of games is. Poor kids.
@SolaceCreed Well we can certainly hope!
I’m def in for this day one
Definitely a day one purchase!
@rjejr A rummage around the discount cloud ??
"The feces do hit the fan once in a while"
The game is rated M, just say the word 😅
@ZoSo My thoughts exactly. It makes me think of the Futurama meme “Can’t tell if….” as in is it gonna be good or not?
@rjejr You say that like certain turns of phrase don't survive in the public consciousness long after their original use or purpose goes away.
Let alone the fact for the term "bargain bin" to disappear, we would need ALL physical objects sold in such bins, or the practice of putting cheap items in such receptacles, to disappear and then for a generation or 2 to pass before it truly went away.
I think the phrase is safe for a good long while.
Game of the year vibes anyone? This seems amazing
Wanted: this game.
Can't see myself paying more than $20 though.
good thing i dont listen to your opinions
most of the games u trashed are the ones i liked
while the games u recommend either ended up average at best or mediocre
Sad about the diffculty spike tbh. Would take too much time to "get good"
Everything lands in the bargain bin eventually except for first party Nintendo games.
What a trailer!
"I'm an Olympian, by which I mean to say I became a TV chef, which is all to explain that I'm part of a Hong Kong SWAT team"
Looking forward to it honestly, I miss this janky era of gaming where developers weren't afraid to experiment.
Edit: I got the game early and I take it all back. I wasn't prepared for how unbelievably bad this game is.
I definitely don't see this game faring well in the reviews. I'll be waiting a few years for it to be $20 New or cheaper.
I genuinely w9nder why people have to give such "compliments" to games like this. Bargain bin vibes? You could just say it looks like a ps2 era title, or maybe a sleeper hit or something. I've seen others call this game the "coolest looking trash" they've ever seen or a janky mess that they can't wait to play. Yea it doesn't have the graphics or animations of a AAA Sony game or anything but it still looks good. Can't people just say it looks cool?
@MFTWrecks "I think the phrase is safe for a good long while."
You owned a Zune, didn't you? 😂
@Smiffy01 Doesn't quite have the same ring to it. 😉
