After a bout of teasing on social media, Blizzard has confirmed that Diablo 4 will return for one more networking test ahead of its full release in June. From Friday the 12th May to Sunday the 14th May, the game will be open to everyone, and will feature the same content as the previous beta weekends.
The big gameplay adjustments that have been made recently — the changes based on beta feedback — will be implemented in this test version. So, even if you squeezed the beta dry, it might still be worth checking this free weekend out.
The developer is calling this a 'Server Slam', so it's looking to get as many players in as possible in order to run one last stress test before launch. Hopefully it all goes smoothly!

We all know the real Server Slam will come on release day when it invariably won't work.
Still can’t decide between ps5 and pc.
I’m glad I have two weeks off when the full game releases, because that’s probably how long I’ll be queuing to get into the game!
Is the Wolf Pup available?
I want to like this game. Wolf Pup could get me there.
If this one actually carry’s your progress over the the full release I’m on board but no way I’m playing those opening 3 hours just to do it again on release. Most of us will be doing that enough as it is.
@Shepherd_Tallon sure. You'll get it if you reach level 20 during this beta, too. And if you kill Ashava being 20, you'll get a cosmetics for the mount.
I’ve avoided the betas so far and will avoid this forthcoming one too. I know this game will be a big time sink for me so am holding out for the full release in June. I just hope they get their servers sorted in time!
@Tomato_Goose Nice one!
Thanks for the answer!!!!!
@Mega-Gazz PC all the way
free online .
@Mega-Gazz if you have a pretty high end PC i would say there. I will get it for Series X, only cause the PS5 controller hurts my hands after while. I still like it, but it don’t like me apparently. If i had a gaming PC, i would snag it on there for sure. But Diablo over the years has done really well on controller. Still has some limitations i feel to mouse and keyboard, but it’s fairly great. Sorry didn’t mean to but into your post, i am a Diablo fanatic, it’s in my top 5 favorite franchises all time. So June is like a holiday to me this year 😀
@Lorcan @Colour progression doesn’t carry over, and progression from the beta won’t carry to this either. 👍
@Green-Bandit the mouse lets you target some skills you can’t via controller, and …. Manually organizing your stash….
But ps5 gives family sharing, pc each user has to buy.
I give it try again, just to check if they managed to adjust colors.
@Mega-Gazz yeah for sure some trade off’s for you to decide. Look on the bright side either one you choose the game is looking to be really really good. I want to try Street Fighter 6, but i know i will not want to practice to get good cause I’ll be playing D4. 😀
Just to clarify, this game CANNOT be played solo without a PS+ subscription, correct? Because it’s “always online”?
@Ear_wiG NOPE. it cannot be played without a plus subscription. just all the more reason to play somewhere else instead of already playing a weaker version and paying for it. SMH
@nomither6 Thanks for the response. That’s so disappointing, and stupid!
