Update: The latest Star Wars Jedi: Survivor patch on PS5 is available to download now, updating the game to version number 1.000.004. It's 1.119GB in size, and you can get all the patch notes below.
Original story: A second big Star Wars Jedi: Survivor patch will go live on PS5 later today, EA has revealed. This latest update focuses on fixing bugs and glitches rather than improving performance on consoles, so you'll need to wait a bit longer before the frame rate gets any better. Although, the reported game-breaking bug should now be fixed.
We shall share the version number and download size once the patch goes live, but for now, you can view the latest Star Wars Jedi: Survivor patch notes below. Respawn Entertainment says it will continue to squash bugs in future updates.

So many bugs and not small ones it's insane that after so much patches its still not great.
Looks like I’m still going to wait before I purchase it.
@Flaming_Kaiser I wouldn't use the word "insane". The game has been out for only 10 days and these kinds of optimizations can take weeks if not months.
I would say waiting for version 1.1 (and/or waiting 2-3 months after release) is a sweet spot for playing AAA games.
Sad that games aren't perfect on day-1 but that's the industry.
I must be one of the lucky ones because I haven’t had any issues other than one crash but that happens with every game.
@Flaming_Kaiser Not great? I think the hypehatetrain is greatly overrated. I love this game, 41 hours in.
Removed - inappropriate language
Working on the plat for fallen order and then will be starting this. Looking forward to it as fallen order is really good.
I'm a dozen or so hours in and had 3 crashes so far - luckily all of them close to save points so it set me back a total of about 5 minutes (including loading times)
Game's great - still wish it ran more consistently framerate-wise, though.
@Avalanchee Aaaaand this kind of take is why the "industry" keeps doing this.
Patch 1.1 is very far from the state an "AAA game" should be played. Minimum 6 months to 1 year after release, during a deep sale (minimum 50%) by buying the "digital deluxe" or whatever edition that gives you the complete game is the right time.
Anything else is not ok in term of quality/content/price ratio. I haven't bought a game close to launch since the early PS4 days and I haven't seen any reason to do so...
@Bartig yeah same here....keep reading everywhere about its unplayable state and seeing people blowing there tops in anger.Im 40 hours in and I've had a couple of crashes playing in resolution mode and the game is probably the most fun game I've played this year!OK the graphics don't look great in motion I'm guessing because it's low base resolution but it's also a really pretty game too......the Internet 🤷♂️
@Olmaz You're preaching to the choir here, I'm always 1-2 years behind on my backlog. I play games at their best state and for a fraction of the price.
My take is trying to be considerate of people who have to play games on launch, but I'm definitely not one of them.
/r/patientgamers/
Like the first game might be ready round about the time it enters EA Play. If they want more of us to invest Day 1, or at full price, put out a finished product, or something closely resembling it!
@Avalanchee /r/patientgamers/ indeed!
A few games are must play Day 1 for me, but this list is thinning. And it's almost exclusively from Studios that put out pretty polished releases on Day 1. Nintendo first party, a few specific Sony first parties etc.
This patch proves the game was rushed to release. These kinds of bugs should have been plugged before release.
@Avalanchee Sorry for misunderstanding your take then!
But excepted reviewers (and they get paid for it), who "has to" play games at launch?
I'm surprised EA doesn't sell bug fixes in lootboxes.
Now if they would fix the road to the masters i'd be happy...
@Olmaz No worries bro
And best if we don't get into a debate here about the rotten culture around consumerism
But to give you a less cynical answer - people who want to be part of the conversation around a brand new thing, they feel like they have to play it ASAP.
@Avalanchee I see what you mean. But "wanting to" and "having to" are very different things, or at least should be.
But I agree this is not the place for a lengthy debate about consumerism, so let's drop it... for now! : )
Been playing in Quality mode since performance isn't completely solid but other then that, the only issue I'm finding is when I die, my XP isn't on the enemy who killed me.
Not really seen any major issues ,few drops in framerate when its busy ,the game is one of the best looking games on ps5 ,its a great game and a must own for a star wars fan ,I dont really understand all the hate it gets ,if you can't afford to buy games at launch thats ok,just wait for a sale ,but don't criticise fans of a particular genre ,who want the game day 1,its really getting old now ,same old faces ,same old comments.
Sadly I'm still waiting untill the performance mode is in 1440p. It looks kinda ***** tbh. Too spoiled with 60fps to go for quality mode. I don't understand why they didn't give us the option to turn RT off. It does nothing for me.
I’ve had one bug where I had to reload a save because I couldn’t progress a puzzle. I do see some frame rate drops now and then. Could it be better? Absolutely. It hasn’t stopped me from loving the game so far (5 hours).
I had the lift bug where you fell through it....thats it though, everything else is awesome on xbox srs x
HOLY finally they are fixing HDR omg
Thank you for supporting us at $70. Here is your broken game.
Just to add my 2 penneth.
I have in the past been a day one gamer.
Something I really wanted, that was it, day one purchase. End of.
But steadily into the mid to late PS4 era, I tuned out of day one purchases.
I WANTED to play the games so bad, and therefore to support the developers, but it became more and more of a guessing game who would release a game that was buggy, and who would release near, if not in a perfect state.
As others have stated, it has become the industry norm;
They set a date to please shareholders, release in whatever state it's in, then patch or patches to follow. I'm all for quality of life patches, but not when they are to fix that which is broken.
It's not what I paid all that money for, (for a PS4 then ps5), to be an unpaid QA tester.
I completed Live A Live and now I wanted to purchase Star Wars Jedi Survivors. So it's good timing.
Let me know if the patch actually makes the game playable.
Only real issue ive really had is i died on a bridge and my XP is now under the bridge. Its not alot or anything but theres an annoying player death icon on the map, reminding me of my failure XD
I’ve not had many issues really other than a little screen tearing, however one of my boys have had the game crash a few times which is terrible on a title that basically discourages saving, and my other fell through an elevator last night before he turned off so hopefully that’s not the progression blocking bug listed here.
@JAMes-BroWWWn I would say the game was always playable, at least from the day one patch, some of this has been blown up a little
The frame rate and screen tearing is still pretty bad, even on quality mode it can't seem to reach consistent 30fps
Beat this game over the weekend, and it'd be near perfect with only nitpicking gripes, if not for the performance. I played through the whole game with screen tearing and FSR all bugged out. Game looked like hot garbage for a lot of it, but despite that I loved it.
The performance put things from a 10/10 to an 8/10 for me. Performance absolutely sucked from start to finish, but it was also one of the best video games I've played this year and the best Star Wars game I've played.
Still 720p and unstable 60fps. lol, definitely no buy.
Is it me or is Cals face constantly blurry? Not by a lot, it just seems slightly out of focus.
It’s definitely blocky in performance mode, and can chug in certain areas, but 15 hours in with zero crashes, and it’s a fantastic game apart from that, the first planet is huge (feels like you could put the whole or fallen order in it). I look forward to playing it at a locked 60/1080p on the Pro in a year or two 😉
Maybe they should start really testing games before they start production of the disc etc. Online games have beta tests, why not singleplayer games. Better to release a game a couple of months later then in a messy state.
@Loamy I see what you did there, but no. I'm playing quality mode.
I can only speak to my own experience and aside from a crash in the opening cutscene (obviously not leaving a great early impression!) and some flickering in another cutscene later in the game, I've had no issues playing in resolution mode. And more importantly, it's a brilliant game so far - if the story sticks the landing it's a GOTY contender for me.
Your article lists it as patch 1.07 but it's 1.04.
@Marquez I wasn’t crazy about the story at first but the last hour or so is amazing. I wish I had focused on completing the story first and done all the side stuff last.
@Loamy It read like you insinuated that I was playing the mode that's blurrier regardless. My bad.
@ItsBritneyB_tch My son completed it at the weekend and said exactly the same thing! I'm finding the character interactions so far really enjoyable, more than the actual plot. I think I'll mainline the story and then toss a coin on whether to platinum or not, depending on my impressions at that stage.
They need to fix these graphical glitches when spinning the camera, this is what annoys me most.
@_camo_ not just you. Depending on what the game has to render at the time it may be upscaling from 480 to 4k. A lot like stretching a thumb nail to be your desktop background.
This is just a mess. There really is no way to justify it. Those that continue to decry anyone saying so as somehow putting YOU down for buying a broken game day one, just feels like a passive aggressive outburst stemming from buyer's remorse and self-justification.
No one is attacking you by giving commentary on the ongoing trend of releasing unfinished games at the expensive of the fanbase in favor of meeting shareholder deadlines or threading the release date needle.
I will say this though, you are absolutely condoning this behavior if you buy this or any other game on release or keep a pre order once its finally allowed to be known that the game has or is releasing in a problematic state. Regardless of being a fan of the IP or whatever reason for picking this up day one; its simply not really up for debate as to the fact that a game selling well despite releasing unfinished, will only continue the corporate acceptance of such a strategic behavior.
I'm glad you are enjoying the game for sure, but make no mistake, your actions are not only self-defeating, but absolutely do have repercussions for everyone else in the gaming space.
I'm waiting for that first discount to hit before I play it. I've gotten into the habit of only buying games when they're on sale.
@Flaming_Kaiser Tell me you have no idea how game development works without telling me you have no idea how game development works
@Skratm weird, I have no screen tearing whatsoever
@_camo_ ive noticed that during cutscenes ,seems to fix itself when you get back in the game ,its a weird one
I usually hate 30FPS modes, but I’ve been playing on Quality with motion blur on for a couple of hours, and I think I prefer it to performance. Still a few artefacts, but it looks a lot less blocky.
@Daan6661 I loved the way they did it with the Demon Souls Remake with the fake Raytracing it ran like a dream and it even looked fantastic in performance mode.
The issue with this game is that FSR needs a higher internal resolution to work good than what this game outputs at in performance mode.
It’s something like 648p-720p internal resolution on PS5. FSR can do good work but it can’t work miracles.
It works best with at least 1080p as the internal resolution. Which is why the quality mode looks so much better. It’s got a much higher internal resolution to reconstruct the image from.
What’s crazy is that had these consoles used nVidia graphics this would have been somewhat attainable. Because DLSS does a much better job at reconstructing from low internal resolutions than FSR does.
@Konks
Far as Digital Foundry tested the lowest internal resolution seen on Jedi is 648p in performance mode.
I remember they did some crazy testing on PC forcing FSR to reconstruct from 240P up to 1440p. That was a blurry artifact ridden mess.
Wow. Only a quarter of the problems addressed and no framerate fixes.
Good luck with your paid alpha testing.
@Dirk_Diggler I'm enjoying it a lot thanks.
@KundaliniRising333 On the otherhand if no one bought this day 1 then EA will say no one cares for single player games. Its worth noting its rare we have a console game launch this bad, yes games always launch with some issues but its usually minor and sorted after a week or two. I don't think anyone expected the game would launch this bad, at worst we expected Fallen Order level issues and not something closer to Cyberpunk.
Thanks for sharing info on the new patch!
@Bartig Well as long as you’re not having problems, I guess people should just chill.
I haven't had any bugs, but it runs like rubbish even in performance mode.
@Konks Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking. I just fount it odd that his clothing would look pin sharp whilst his face seemed out of focus at the same time.
Still good enough to plat. Some of the most obnoxious gank fights ever end up in this game though, making Godskin duo look pale in comparison
After downloading the new patch, my PS5 audio is glitching with this game. 😡
OK, it's actually not the game. My PS5 has a weird sound bug. After a few minutes, the console completely mutes. I can fix that by unplugging the HDMI cable or change HDMI mode, but the problem returns very shortly.
Great, after 2 1/2 years OS use(not every day) It seems the system starts to break.
My guess is that thanks to the high heat in the system, the sound chip is damaged.
