PS Stars has, to our knowledge, received its first Legendary reward in the form of BD-1. Part of a special Star Wars Day campaign, you’ll have until 1st July, 2023 to boot up Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on your PS5 to earn the digital collectible. Obviously, you can’t display these virtual trinkets on your new-gen console just yet, but text in the system’s settings suggests this functionality is coming in a future firmware update.
For some reason, PS Stars seems to have gotten short shrift among PlayStation fans, but there’s more than just virtual trinkets up for grabs. Pay attention to the campaigns and you can actually accrue quite a lot of points, which can then be exchanged for real-life PS Store cash. If you want to stay on top of the loyalty scheme, then we’d recommend referring to our PS Stars guide, where we have solutions to all of the service’s puzzles and much more information.

BD-1 is going to look good next to Clank and Shuhei Yoshida 😀
@Loamy Yeah, I've earned about £15 from this so far as well. I think Nintendo's version is better, but I'm really not going to argue against PS Store credit I never used to get.
I think this loyalty scheme is decent so far personally.
I tend to only go after the credits or if I have a game already installed of late. Some games can be launched after a partial install and that does it. A lot of the challenges are only really viable for those with expanded storage and a Lan cable.
I’ve got about £15 just from getting digital games on sale (still more cost effective to just buy physically of course, but a lot of the VR games especially don’t give that option yet).
@GrimWillows If you've got PS Plus Premium, you can also stream some games to get the rewards.
While not even close to MS rewards in what you get back, I’ve still managed 3,150 points so far so better than nothing.
Would be nice to get a slight discount for higher dollar value cards. 1250 for $5 and 5000 for $20 does not incentivize buying a $20 card.
I completely forgot about PS Stars until I logged into my account last night. I do think it’s annoying that you have to activate the challenges on the app before they start tracking. Ive played so many games in the last 12 months but because I haven’t logged into the app, I haven’t got any rewards (only points for purchases).
Gonna claim it today!!!! Thanks for the heads up!!
@Loamy I saved R$ 25,00 here, and have points for more 25!!
Still waiting on my copy of Survivor but it seems it couldn't even survive the trip.
Looks pretty neat, but don't think I want to buy game just to get it
Due to being a digital gamer since it started i've redeemed over £40 of credit from it. Its so much better then what Xbox does with its reward system though Nintendo still does it best.
@WallyWest better than Xbox rewards ? Lmfao I get£25 each month without spending anything and THEN I earn more money by buying stuf
@Martsmall I barely make a fiver each month on Xbox while on PS i can easily get double that.
@WallyWest if you get everything they offer u will get £25 a month , I think £25 of credit is about 29.700 points and I get approx 31000 each month without purchases ane then purchases extra points
PS Stars is better than nothing but it's worse than both Nintendo's offering and significantly worse than MS's efforts, but they have their fingers in many more pies (web search etc.) so it's not a fair comparison to MS.
Easy to unlock? Pay $90 CAD and get a game that’s not even finished, needing multiple patches to fix glaring bugs and inconsistent framerates? Just to get a worthless digital trinket? I find that to be extremely difficult to do.
One of the big failings of PS Stars in my opinion is where they don't retroactively check what you've played. I can't count the number of times I play a game the month it comes out, and then there's a bonus for buying it the next month. Maybe they've changed this, but that's how it was originally at least.
@ItsBritneyB_tch Does Xbox automatically track instead? I'm honestly curious.
