As promised, here's your reminder that tomorrow, on the 9th May 2023, 19 PS4 games will be removed from PS Plus. Or, more specifically, Sony will be dropping the PS Plus Collection.
In case you don't know, the PS Plus Collection is a, er, collection of highly rated PS4 games, available to PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers on PS5. It was an initiative that Sony pushed ahead of the PS5's launch in 2020, in a bid to sweeten the deal for early adopters of its current-gen console.
If you claim these PS Plus Collection games now, you can retain access to them as long as you're a PS Plus subscriber — even after the Collection is removed. Again, you've got a week to make sure they're all added to your library.
The PS Plus Collection includes a bunch of PS4 must-plays, like Bloodborne, Fallout 4, God of War, Monster Hunter: World, and The Last of Us Remastered. It's always added a lot of value to a PS Plus subscription, especially if you're new to PlayStation. You can find a full list of PS Plus Collection games by clicking this link.
Have you snagged all of these PS Plus Collection games? Give yourself another reminder in the comments section below.

For all the people complaining about my asking the writers to put which PS+ service is involved in the title, it’s b/c of situations like this. It’s not Pushsquare’s fault Sony has a weird naming system. This “collection” in particular always bothered me b/c millions of people are paying for PS+ who only own a PS4 so they aren’t getting this benefit they are paying for as PS+ subscribers. Sony should have called this the “PS5 loyalty collection” and dropped the PS+ requirement or given the games to PS4 owners as well as they are all PS4 games, none of them are PS5 games, so it made no sense.
For the record I’m ok with this title as it’s relevant to all PS+ subscribers. Well at least those who own a PS5, you can’t redeem these games on PC, the app or PS4 for future use on a PS5.
Maybe they'll be a new PS+ Collection to replace it?
Wish I could claim some of those games, but I don't have a PS5 yet. I plan on getting the rumored revised model this upcoming holiday season.
@rjejr I believe you can purchase them the app and still have them. Just not through the ps4 store. Hut I could be wrong. You used to be able to. Because people were doing this at the beginning of the generation.
It was a sweeten to buy a ps5. Not sure whats wrong with that.
Already got them on day one when my ps5 arrives back then, although I already bought nearly all of them on ps4 with the exception of cod black ops, fallout 4, and re 7.
Thanks for reminder. I think I claimed them all day I got ps5 but I will double check.
Was a really good idea on paper for ps5 owners but in reality I and I'd imagine most people who owned a ps4 already had these games or at least the bulk of them
Between these going and what sounds like a huge number of plus extra titles due to expire this month I feel like we are either in for a big treat or a big disappointment this month
I just realized that it offers The Royal Edition of Final Fantasy XV. I haven't played my copy yet, so I never bought any of the DLC. This will save me some money.
@Bez87 no guarantee of course but my theory is something similar for PSVR2 early adopters with some classic titles as the full retail release of the headset is 3 days later on May 12th.
Sony have been dead silent on VR2 ports of games like astrobot rescue mission and Wipeout etc. and this would make the headset a far more compelling option given the price tag.
Thanks for the reminder! I already redeemed them all, but am spreading the word to all my friends.
@maybemaybemaybe I'm actually disappointed that they bring PSVR2 put and it didn't ship with a demolish disc with some experiences on it.
I believe PSVR did an amazing job of shipping with VR Worlds, giving someone who was on the fence just to pick the headset up and have something to play for a little bit, I actually enjoyed my ti.e with Worlds and it got me to buy a headset knowing I'd have something to play for its price tag and later on I could buy the games I wanted.
PSVR2 does nothing for me if I have also buy the games on top of the high price. So if they do plan on releasing a list of games for psvr2 free, that would be amazing.
@Bez87 not sure about complaining you need to buy games for it, particularly given how much more immersive they are, but completely agree that a tech demo similar to what the original PSVR had is sorely lacking and really seems like it should have been a no brainer.
What are the 19 games?!
@Bez87 "It was a sweeten to buy a ps5. Not sure whats wrong with that."
What's wrong with that is that it's called "PS+ Collection" but people who own a PS4 and are paying for PS+ don't have access to those PS4 games. Should have been called "PS5 Starter Collection" if all of those paying for PS+ on PS4 couldn't access those PS4 games.
Pretty sure I tried to add those PS+ games to my "library" before I purchased a PS5 and I wasn't able too, but it may have changed in the 18 months since. I'm in the US so it may be different in other countries.
Arigatou! luckily i have claimed before they removed Persona 5.

This move smells like some exclusives PS5 only will be announced soon. It is a good sign.
This collection was all about getting Xbox One users over to PS5.
"Did you make the mistake of sticking with Xbox last gen? Well here's all these gems from PS4 to get you up to speed if you join us for PS5."
No need for it anymore. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
@Futureshark im guessing prob not , i don't think the collection was supposed to even last this long.
@Muggy12345 look above in the comments some one posted all of them
Not sure if all of these are on extra yet, but I could see Wednesday announcement of the new plus games Including the games being taken of of the collection.
@xDD90x I think u can add them to ur library still. I did this with my Vita. I added PS4 games to the library even tho I didn’t have one. They are now playable if I renew my Plus sub.
@rockodoodle That doesn't work with the "PS Plus Collection", unfortunately. I've tried. Sony made it so that you have to claim these games from a PS5 console.
@xDD90x I claimed mines on a PC 2 years back before I even had a PS5 with my PSN account.
@Rafie I think you are mistaken. I just tried it again on PC and there is no option to claim the games, only purchase or upgrade to PS Plus Extra. I've searched Google and reddit and all sources affirm that they can only be claimed from a PS5 console. Are you sure you're referring to the PS Plus Collection"? To be clear, this is not the PS Plus monthly games. This is a set of 19 games that Sony made available to PS5 owners who are subscribed to PS Plus Essential or higher. Please check PS Store for one of the included games that you know you never purchased digitally to see if it's in your library. Link to the list is in the above article. A few examples are Days Gone, Batman Arkham Knight, Detroit Become Human, Monster Hunter World.
@xDD90x I'm not mistaken on how I got the Collection sir. Just as I described to you in my post is how I got the collection. Now I'm not sure if Sony shut down that process through the PC, but you were able to get the Collection through the PC at one point. Trust me I when I tell you I got through the PC. I know very well the differences. Been with Plus since it's inception.
@Rafie I'll take your word for it, but I tried claiming them from PC, PS App and PS4 back when the collection first launched and it didn't allow it then either. I've also read through dozens of posts on the subject and haven't seen any other reports of successful claims from PC. I guess you got really lucky.
Does this mean I need to make sure I have downloaded them or just that I have added team to my collection?? Cheers in advance.
@xDD90x they are only claimable on the ps5 I think there was a work around but if Sony caught you they would remove those games or not make them playable
@BaldBelper78 Just need to add them to your library. No need to download.
goodbye sweet prince, you'll be remembered.
I honestly already owned most of the games in the collection but it allowed me to play infamous second son for the first time and you really couldnt go wrong with any of the games on the collection.
Special Shout out to Bloodborne, RE7, God of War and Days Gone.
