The visually stunning sci-fi action adventure Hubris will bring several different traversal types to PSVR2 when it launches next week. “Enjoy a full VR experience with free movement, climbing, swimming, and jumping,” the official blurb reads, before promising you’ll meet “colourful epic characters [and] a mix of alien wildlife, humanoids, and mechanised enemies, each of them requiring unique tactics to defeat”.
The press materials continue: “As a player, you take the role of a recruit in training to become an agent of the mighty and feared Order-Of-Objectivity, also known as the OOO. Together with the pilot Lucia, you are sent to the planetoid belt of the Twin Planet System to search for the mysterious agent Cyanha. You’ll have to use all your agility and strength to survive the harsh environment and wildlife on a planet which is being terraformed. Along the way you’ll have to fight like a real OOO agent. You’ll learn to craft weaponry and control vehicles and machinery.”
It certainly sounds like there’s a lot to do in this full-scale sci-fi story, then. Will you be checking it out when it takes off next week?

This looks great, definitely purchase at some point if not day 1
Takes a lot of confidence to release your game the same day as FFXVI. One could say it's too much confidence. Excessive confidence/pride even. I feel like there's a word for that.
Looks good, going to get it on the wishlist as I currently have too much already with TotK on my Switch and Final Fantasy coming on the same day but this does look like one to check out later. PSVR 2 needs more larger scale expansive games like this hopefully seems to be
Another one I’ll eventually get when I have the time to play it.
Looks very very good. Will definitely be getting day one. Hopefully another great game for psvr2.
This looks truly amazing!! Very excited to have two great sci fi adventures release on psvr2 so close together.
Might have to wait a bit though as my backlog is really growing (nice problem to have!). And another 14 or so games have been announced over last couple of days!!
@Jayslow Release a VR game on the same day as a very popular pancake game? Happens all the time. What's the word for it?
My plan to always have a new pancake game and a VR2 game at the ready has worked out quite nicely so far. This will be my FF16 "companion".
And who said PSVR2 is dead in the water and has no games? I have a great backlog and four games I want to buy;
Pixel Ripped
Red matter 2
Hubris
Walking dead
All of which are not 'experiences'....Happy days!!
Wow this is another one that looks great and I had no idea it was coming. Where was all this stuff in the VR section of the big showcase? There was enough content to make a big show of PSVR2, but they chose to put none of it in the show. They could have made a heck of a showing for VR2 with all this!
Stoked!! In my limited PCVR experience, this is second only to Alex. Sounds very promising and praying they took advantage of PS5 & PSVR2!
This looks great, will defo be picking this one up, maybe day one will see.
@Jayslow This comment has just won the comments section.
Again, where was this in the showcase???
@EnragedGibbon And the good news is you have two pixel ripped games to play now - pixel ripped 1978 and they’ve just announced pixel ripped 1995 as well
@Jayslow I’ve finally given the demo a blast and I have to say, it’s bloody brilliant
@Hamst88 Too true my friend, great news! Never got round to playing them on PSVR, also forgot to mention Synapse, that looks awesome!! Happy gaming!!
@hookedWORM17 aware you're talking about PCVR but have you played RE8 on the PSVR2? It's amazing
I'll get to this as soon as I'm finished with Red Matter 2 but that might be awhile yet because I tend to get so hypnotized by the incredible look of the game that I lose track of my goal and just stand around staring at everything. I think there's about to be a flood of killer PSVR2 games coming.
@Wormwood23 Lol... I think if more gamers did that, they'd appreciate VR a lot more Yeah, when I play RE Village, I'm in no rush to get through it. Sometimes to my detriment!
@NEStalgia Yeah, Sony has made some strange choices of late with their marketing. Whoever is in charge of that division should be fired. Apparently, they're not getting the clue that we don't appreciate lackluster showcases and random, slowly dribbling announcements and release dates. With that said, we all knew that PSVR2 was going to have some solid support during the second half of the year. Looking forward to some November and December release announcements.
Played through the first chapter this morning. Loving it, so far.
