The spangly set of Trophies from Capcom’s upcoming co-op shooter Exoprimal have started to shine on Sony’s servers, and this looks like a potentially attainable Platinum – assuming you’re willing to dedicate the time. Most of the pots pertain to killing dinosaurs – 100,000 in total for one Gold gong – and levelling up the various in-game Exosuits.
It looks like the title’s encouraging exploring all of the outing’s available content, so you’ll have to block 10,000 damage with Krieger or replenish 10,000 health with Witchdoctor, for example. All of this sounds perfectly attainable, of course, assuming you retain an open mind and test out all of the different characters and playstyles.
There are a couple of vaguer Trophies which may yet prove more challenging until we know the true nature of them, but the vast majority of the pots en route to the Platinum look perfectly achievable and – dare we say – straightforward. With a robust post-release plan, as detailed overnight, Capcom’s expecting you to play this one for quite some time anyway.

Judging by the rate at which they flood in in this part of a gameplay video it shouldn't actually be too bad.

I might even give it a go.
@Anke Yeah, exactly, 100k sounds like a lot but it's basically the primary engagement in the game. You'll reach that pretty quick I imagine.
@get2sammyb was just reading up on all the negative vibes around this to see if it was worth a buy and realised it was multiplayer, dang
@Anke It's Capcom. Capcom is top-tier lobby co-op developer - if not the absolute best.
It's Monster Hunter with Exosuits and a sci-fi vibe. They know better than anyone how to make a fun game. I'd give it a chance.
I hope they do put out a PS5 demo soon.
This looks good to me. Gonna try it out on GP and if it holds water, will purchase on ps5.
@Cashews it does look darn fun admittedly, just need to see how much fun it might be with randoms.
@Anke I never played MH: Rise with anyone but randoms. I really enjoyed either getting a full-on scrub team - where you might be the god in the group. Or get some insane JP that would be flipping out all over the monsters - deleting it and you just there to pick up the pinata prizes. If you go in with a good attitude it doesn't matter if you wipe or if you see some guy doing things you didn't know could be done.
I expect more of the same here. Just casual fun where you get to blast waves of enemies rather than one big baddie. But I am assuming this game is waves > then big baddie > collect loot.
@Cashews now I've been watching some gameplay it does appear that it's the sort of game where randoms don't really matter as you're just mowing down dinosaurs (and how cool is that!!) rather than some sort of coordination puzzley thing so I'm going to pick it up and have some fun.
I'll wait until it's next to nothing or for free as for everyone saying that they made MH they also made RE Resistance so I'll wait.
@Anke It's definitely that, but when you reach the final round of the match your team is pitted against another player team, and that's when it can get a little stressfull. Like, if your team isn't focused/pulling their weight, you can get wiped pretty easily.
I just hope matchmaking on this is fair and.... fingers crossed, the game isn't filled with semi-pro players and streamers with no lives by the end of the month
Let me know when it gets added to PS+ essential
@JB_Whiting ahh I see, didn't realise that but checking the trophy lists I can't see any for beating another team so not much to worry about there.
Unless I missed it?
@Anke Yeah so, at least what I took from the beta, it's a PVEVP game. The matches I played consisted of a few rounds of just PVE, where two opposing player teams are going through these stages killing dinos, but don't interact. The team that finishes them the quickest, gets the bigger head-start in the final round when the two player teams go up against each other directly.
It's kinda fun, but the PVP bit was too hectic for me. That is just one game mode though and I'm hoping they'll be some where you only fight dinos, we'll see I guess!
Wish it was on ps plus like it's on gamepass. Would have been the perfect game for the service. Don't see this doing well at retail.
I’ll likely check this game out but only once it hits PS Plus Extra or is steeply discounted.
That exosuit boss battle from the launch trailer sold me more on the game than the dino waves. Still think this should have been a Lost Planet game.
Downloading it through Gamepass, don't really want to commit money to another always online game right now so it being on GP is perfect for me.
@Cashews Any developer that forces players to not only play the PvP side of the game, but adds trophies to that (which almost assuredly impacts how that mode is played) is not a top tier developer in any respect. Any PvP mode should absolutely 100% NEVER have trophies tied to it. This has been a cardinal sin for well over a decade.
