Fans eager to persist with physical media may be excited to learn that Hitman: World of Assassination – which includes content from all three of Agent 47’s adventures – is getting a boxed release on PS5, available from 25th August. The package includes a PS5 Blu-ray and a PS4 download code, so you’ll still benefit from cross-buy if you cough up for this bundle.
“Every physical copy of the game includes a set of three collector’s art cards, featuring artwork from the luxurious and hyper-detailed game locations,” the blurb reveals. “Each card features imagery from an iconic game destination in the trilogy: the mysterious ICA Training Facility, the high-octane thrills of a Miami racetrack, and the luxurious elegance of the tallest skyscraper in Dubai.”
IO Interactive will also treat 50 lucky fans in Europe and North America respectively by signing the art cards and inserting them into random copies of the game. Considering this is one of the best games on the PS5, it makes sense for a physical edition to exist; if you want to purchase it, then pre-orders are open now.

Wow, I so want a physical copy of an ALWAYS online game 😂
Getting a signed art card from a developer... not something that I would be salivating for.
@NeThZOR Depends on the developer, but I see your point haha!
Would be amazing if they updated the VR mode to PSVR2. Such an amazing experience on the first PSVR, with the PSVR2 controllers it would be next level mind blowing.
@SoulChimera Yes, please. Was thinking the same thing. Unbelievable game in VR.
@GorosBat in fairness you can play it offline like the old days, you just can't have elusive contracts. I would assume the disc won't hold the progress/levels from the older games as you had to download those from the store so in that aspect its pointless
@PlatinumGamer Swear to god when I played any of the hitman games I needed a constant connection to play any of the levels other than the tutorial, it will literally kick you out of a level if you lose connection. TBH this game should easily function as an offline game minus those limited time contracts.
@PlatinumGamer It says on the box that it has the content of the 3 games because they’ve all been rolled into one big app.
Im not interested as I have 90% of the content but its probably nice for new players to know everything you get in this release
I believe buying the same titled release on steam (for example) is still missing content
Eg
Hitman 2 Season pass
Hitman 3 Season pass
Hitman 2 season pass is probably some of my fav locations across the whole trilogy (I never picked up hitman 3s as it didnt contain nee locations?)
The Hitman trilogy are so good. Prime example of a studio passionate about their IP and showing it through their work.
But a serious question can you play all the content offline or is online always needed?
@Flaming_Kaiser No, you need to be online in order to unlock new weapons, suits, equipment and starting points.
@GorosBat It's...not always online though... lmfao nice try though
@vrubayka Then it's totally useless for me. I'm playing MK11 now but I'm shocked how much will get lost if the online access goes away.. 😢
@GorosBat Physical copies always take up less space than Digital and take less time to download install the day one patch. I have certain online games physically as they take up less space. I’m pretty sure that the Hitman trilogy isn’t as online as games like No mans sky, Diablo IV, Warframe, Crossout, ESO, FFXIV, PSO2 though
