The long-awaited sequel, Dragon’s Dogma 2, will be fully playable at next month’s Tokyo Game Show – and even if you’re not visiting the enormous Japanese convention, you’ll be able to learn more about the release as part of the publisher’s Online Special Program on 21st September from 7PM PDT. According to a social media post, this will include “new gameplay and info” from director Hideaki Itsuno.
As it stands, there’s no official release date attached to the RPG, but some fans believe it could launch as soon as March 2024. It’s likely a firm release window will be revealed during the aforementioned TGS event, especially if the game is going to be playable on the show floor. Are you holding out hope for the imminent release of this follow-up? Let us know in the comments section below.

Capgod are machines! How many souls have they sacrificed to get games out so quickly and at such high quality? Talking of souls, how about Onimusha next?
So excited for this. The first was amazing and a fresh experience. Everyone was baffled over the lack of a sequel for so long.
Looking forward to this, the original felt like a really good 90’s RPG (like Might & Magic 8), hope this one has a bigger game world than the original to get lost in
Can’t wait was a huge fan of the first game

I never played the original Dragon's Dogma myself but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't extremely interested in giving it a go in prep for DD2's release. I've heard nothing but good things about it so we'll see how it eventually fares I suppose!
Can't wait to climb some more 3 headed snakes😍
Buzzing… I’m actually gonna be starting the original on Monday. I’ve had it in the backlog for years and have always rain-checked it for one reason or another… not this time though!
@Powerplay94 This game is made by the dmc developer team so you should at least give it a try

@colonelkilgore fantastic! Enjoy! If you like guides, #lemoneatingcow had some good ones. I'm not sure if he was on twitch or youtube. It has been a long time.
Very cool but I am ready to hear more about Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess.
This game will take over my life. I absolutely adored the first one.
@DrVenture69 Capcom's 2023 showcase included a developer gameplay overview of Dragons Dogma 2. Most of it matches what fans of the first game should expect from its sequel, but there were a few big reveals. This includes the promise that the game world is four times larger than the original Dragons Dogma, with increased content to match. Among that are new enemies like Medusa and varied NPCs with complex and reactive AI-powered behaviors.
Oh? I'll have to play go to this before or after I try out RE4 VR as well!
@TheLotteryMan1 Thanks for taking the time to let me know that. That sounds really promising! 😃👍
When I think of the original, I think of the first time I was a wizard and could create a freaking tornado to just shoot all the ambushing bandits in the air and instantly wipe em out. No game has given me that experience as a magic-lover since and I'm soooo psyched to jump back into this world 🤤
Yes its about time. Dragons dogma dark arisen is an awesome game and i'm waiting patiently for the sequel.
Woohoo! Much hype. Glad it's that far along already. Maybe a 2024 release.
@Fizza You’re off to a good start if you already know the opening song! Brings back some awesome memories.
Go Capcom Go Capcom Go!!!
