A Complete Edition of Horizon Forbidden West and its DLC Burning Shores appears to be a foregone conclusion at this point, and reliable PS Plus leaker Billbil-Kun now reports it's the next game Sony plans to bring to PC. Alongside the PS5 version, which recently received an age rating in Singapore, it means Aloy's entire story will soon be available on PC. The leaker suggests a release is imminent, although a release date isn't known just yet.
With reports Sony is set to host a State of Play livestream this month, it's likely the firm is saving the reveal of a Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition for the show. Sony has brought many of its first-party titles to PC at this point, with recent efforts including Returnal and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

The game coming to PC around the two year mark makes sense.
Well, I have no problem with PS games being ported to PC - players throughout the world and platforms deserve to enjoy these high-quality products... But with such development tempo of new games all PS5 exclusives from internal Playstation Studios will be available on PC soon and we will have nothing more here... Jim's words "we trust in this gen" and "we have the strongest line-up ever" seems a little bit exaggerative...
No new FP Games for their Console, only PC Ports...
Prepare for te buggiest version of this great game, along with optimization hell..
Coolio, I'd like to get the PC port so I can play the game with native ultrawide support.
@BeerIsAwesome That was one of the dumbest review bombings ever.
This is great news (hopefully). HFW is one of my favorite games of the generation and Burning Shores is a great expansion that is one of the best looking games ever. It's good that PC gamers will get to experience this soon.
Speaking of State of Play, I get the feeling Sony will announce one later today for airing tomorrow because of the Nintendo Direct timing.
The normal Nintendo Direct timing for February and September is 10pm GMT/11pm BST but last September the Direct was at 3pm BST because there was a State of Play at 11pm BST. Tomorrow's Direct is also airing at 3pm BST so the reasoning may be the same.
I don't like they bring PS games to PC. It should have stayed exclusive.
@Darth_Stofi What's the problem with it? Gives people on PC access to PS studio games.
I wonder if Sony is planning Apple versions of some of their titles now after seeing that Apple presentation.
@MagisterMagi i can't tell if comments like this one are serious or not. i mean clearly they are working on new fp games? i feel like people have zero patience these days and can't wait for anything , they want everything now.
@BacklogBrad It was mentioned that Death Stranding would be available on the new iphone pros along with AC Mirage and one other.
@TrickyDicky99 Horizon: Zero Dawn had sold 2.398M by March 2022(official Sony Numbers). Playtracker estimates It’s at 3.68m now.
@Tomato_Goose This has been a problem for a while,we aren’t getting enough new games to replace the ported ones. Looks like this is going to be a drip fed generation from Sony. Even this year only one first party exclusive.
@twitchtvpat I mean Sony had a terrible showcase after 2 years and all their big studios except insomniac are radio silent…how long do you want people to wait? 2024-5?
@Shad361 Most Sony studios released a game at the end of PS4 or beginning of PS5. This shouldn’t be a shock to anybody. Just let them do their thing. The only way to remedy this is to buy up more studios but they don’t have Microsoft money.
@cburg good point I forgot about that. Not technically Sony studios but close enough. That game found its way to pc gamepass so I'm not so sure it is indicative of Sony's plans yet. I could see something like Ratchet coming to phones.
@BacklogBrad Sony: “Today we would like to announce Bloodborne for iPhone 15 Pro. Experience Bloodborne for first time at full 60FPS thanks to the A17 Pro chip available in this year latest top of line iPhone Pro/Pro Max”
@ChrisDeku Don’t indulge him… He nothing but a troll.
@TrickyDicky99 Sony’s PC revenue by Financial Year:
2021: $75m
2022: $250m
2023: $400m Estimated
So no the following games didn’t do less well and every game released after has not been a failure. God of War and Spider-Man both had much bigger launches and much larger peak concurrent users. All the games sell constantly over time, as is the norm on PC.
Would help it cross 10 million copies if it hasn't already. Once the Netflix series is released (with the strike could be years), but sales are going to skyrocket
A physical complete addition with all DLCs is great because it would contain the majority of bug-fixes, I am definitely interested in that.
Concerning the PC port, I would be more interested in a VR mode even if it is just a VR camera and the game would play identically to the flat version. Also most PC ports do not seem to run all that great. But, then most games seem to get reasonable VR mods on PC. Maybe one day I will have a PC compatible headset and a powerful enough PC that I would be able to play those in VR with these mods? So, yes there are benefits of PC ports. Also in terms of backwards compatibility, it is more likely that a PC version would still work in a few years time then that the PS5 version would work on PS7.
I would rather Gran Turismo 7 be ported first. I'd even take GT Sport if it helped GTs case for PC.
@MaseSco really surprised we haven't heard gt7 PC port yet. With the movie being out I would have thought they would want it on as many platforms to drive sales.
I'm delighted that Playstation games are coming to PC. Having games open to a wider audience is a good thing
@TrickyDicky99 It doesn’t devalue anything. Anybody interested in these games Is not going to wait 2 to 3 years
Yay.
Held off on playing this on PS4, especially after hearing about the next-gen exclusive DLC. Hopefully it's another excellent PC port.
Tick one more item off the 'reasons to buy a PS5' list.
@Americansamurai1 completely agree. That was a great opportunity to drive more sales via publicity (pun not intended). Guess the PC market will continue with GT via emulation.
@Darth_Stofi You don't want their business to thrive so they could continue making even better games?
@TrickyDicky99 The difference is Xbox games are available on Windows on day 1.
@BacklogBrad Most likely Apple already approached them directly about that possibility.
@TrickyDicky99 Sonys yearly revenue figure does not mean what you think it does though, the reason that number is so high is because of the way the digital storefront works. Every game sold on PSN is 100% revenue for Sony, and then 70% of it is a cost that is paid to the relevant publisher. There’s also huge hardware revenues that is sold below cost or barely making profit.
A better comparison for revenue would be Activision Blizzard, one of the biggest third party publishers. Their yearly revenue was around $7.5b across PS, Xbox, PC and and Mobile. Their PC Revenue was likely around $2b.
So Sony is already approaching a quarter of ABK’s PC revenue making only years old ports that costs them a fraction of what a new game would cost to develop. That’s an incredibly lucrative market for them.
Saying the games sold terribly is nonsense when all Sony published data, and all third party estimates make sales high and comparable to other big games getting day one releases on PC.
@TrickyDicky99 Thats how it works out but it’s not how it’s accounted for. The item is sold by Sony, you are giving 100% of your money to Sony. Sony then pay periodic invoices to third party companies. Every game sold on PSN is 100% revenue in Sony accounts. That’s why the total revenue is so high.
@Shad361 except we know they are all working on games? the real question is would you rather know everything now even if its not close to being released or delayed? or do you not like surprises?
@Darth_Stofi I agree, but the opposite. Baldur’s Gate 3 should’ve stayed PC exclusive, along with The Witcher, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity Original Sin, Diablo, and more. They should’ve all stayed on PC so no one else outside of the PC community could get to enjoy them and become fans and give these studios the money they deserve for their hard work 🙄
Call me petty but I don't care, first party games should remain Sony console exclusives, I don't care if they came out 5 years ago.
One day when the PlayStation console becomes just an "optional but not required to play Sony games" prebuilt PC you'll understand.
You know damned well that developers are probably already designing games with the PC in mind if they release them there in under two years. So you can kiss optimization for the console goodbye.
And I bet that window between console and PC release will shrink over time.
If PC players want to play Sony games they should buy a PlayStation. How antiquated of me!
Btw I own both a pretty decent PC and a PS5.
Yeah, there is literally no reason to buy a Sony console anymore.
I guess it's fortunate that I wasn't too far into the game on the PS5 yet. I'll finish God of War Ragnarok and FFXVI first then.
@TrickyDicky99 Revenue doesn’t just belong to one person. You pay 100% of the money to Sony, that’s a transaction they can’t just ignore, that’s money into their account that has to be accounted for in their yearly accounts.
Then when they pay 70% of that to a third party then that third party registers that transaction in their accounts, that’s their revenue. So Sonys accounts are a 100% revenue and 70% operating cost, so it works out as net 30%.
You know if you buy the game from a physical retailer that the price you paid would be revenue for the retailer, right? Target would register $70 as revenue and then the Publisher would register their sale to Target in their revenue. Then if a reseller sold the game second hand they’d then register that as revenue too. One $70 game might represent $150 of revenue across all accounts. That’s just how it’s always worked.
@TrickyDicky99 The whole buying chain is irrelevant, the key point is there is a payment to sony for 100% and outgoing payment of 70%. Both of those need to be captured in totality in the accounts.
Anyway think about it this way, in 2022 the entire console video game sector was worth about $60.5b and Playstation studios revenue is over $30b. Do you really think that just PlayStation division is 50% of the entire console games market? Not only is it just one of three platforms but also there are mega publishers
I think I might install this on my steam deck I've heard it runs quite well on that 🤔 but Nintendo's release schedule is quite busy this year so who knows, it would be nice to play horizon on the go especially as I've completed it so many times on ps4, PS5 already
@PixelDragon if anything this post makes the case for PC users to buy a PlayStation. They get an amazing gaming machine for potentially under 400.
So why aren't they then? Why are they willing to wait two years to play game that may come to PC? Why don't they just buy the PS5 then? There are plenty of them available in stock now and they're even being discounted.
@PixelDragon
I too can build a top of the line cutting edge PC if I really wanted to (it would be a complete waste of money, though.)
I chose to have a computer in the ~1500 range instead.
If someone can build a beast of a PC just to play games (which would easily be north of 2k) why not spend another 400 to have a PS5?
Only a gaming obsessed person would shell out that kind of money for a PC; a serious gamer wouldn't want to play Horizon or The Last of Us when it comes out? Two years is a long time to wait when you love to play games.
It seems to me the investment into the PS5 is miniscule for the type of people who have the means to build a serious gaming PC. And those type of people really like games, so why not also buy a PS5?
If it's because they can't stand to play at checkerboard 4k or under 120 fps then if the game doesn't come to PC they don't get to play it at all. Might as well buy the console.
I just don't see why they wouldn't.
@PixelDragon if I was super obsessed with games where I'd spend a ton of money on a gaming PC I'd probably own a PS5 and Switch as well.
I'd want to play every game on whatever platform they were available on.
I knew some kids growing up with more means than my family that owned both the Nintendo NES/SNES and the Genesis.
I even knew one kid that had the NES/SNES, Genesis and the Turbografx-16.
Talk about obsessed lol
