Going by the amount of gameplay footage we've seen, it's widely assumed that Dragon's Dogma 2 will probably release at some point next year. But what if it's even closer than we think? That's the current topic of speculation, thanks to a newly published age rating from Saudi Arabia.
Now, as we always say, age ratings don't necessarily mean that some big announcement is imminent, but they often suggest that things are being finalised behind the scenes. Given the timing, some fans think it's possible that we'll get a locked release date at The Game Awards β which would certainly make sense if Dragon's Dogma 2 is targeting an early-ish 2024 launch.
As VGC points out, this theory is given additional weight by the fact that Capcom expects to release an "undisclosed" title before the end of the fiscal year (that is, April 2024). Dragon's Dogma 2 could be that game, since it's yet to be given an official window.
