Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin marches imminently on PS5, and we got our last look at the game in action before battle commences on 17th November.
A squad-based RTS in the style of games like the recent Company of Heroes 3, Realms of Ruin is a slick-looking take that wears the skin of Age of Sigmar, Games Workshop's contentious Warhammer Fantasy rebranding. That matters less to us, focused as we are on the thought of a deep single-player campaign and an impressive-looking multiplayer suite where we plan to lead our unique and painstakingly hand-painted forces to victory against all challengers.
It seems surreal, as this sort of thing was previously the province of PC players, but 2023 has been particularly kind to the passionate fans of this admittedly niche genre. Seeing quality strategy games like Aliens: Dark Descent, Jagged Alliance 3, Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening, and Anno 1800 Console Edition, released just this year on PlayStation platforms, gives us selfish hope this trend will continue, and Realms of Ruin looks like it will be joining that list.
