You'll have to forgive us for not spotting this sooner, but Capcom has been releasing (mostly) new Dragon's Dogma 2 gameplay trailers over the last week or so — the latest of which has just arrived. These short videos focus on individual character classes, with the first four trailers showcasing base vocations Fighter, Thief, Archer, and Mage.
Again, they're not very long, but the videos do give us a decent glimpse of each combat style, complete with their unique abilities.
We imagine more of these trailers will drop over the new couple of weeks, as advanced and hybrid classes are explored. Right now, ten vocations have been revealed, and it's assumed that more will be announced soon.
But which starting vocation will you be going with in Dragon's Dogma 2? Take your pick from the above bunch and then set out your quest to the comments section below.

It's theivin' time!
This looks so good. It's a shame DD2 and Rise of the Ronin releasing on the same day. Decisions, Decisions...
@Greifchen pick 1 then get the other after a month or so at the inevitable price reduction
Win win to be fair
@Greifchen I plan to get Rise of the Ronin first and wait for DD2. The news of the uncapped framerate has me thinking it will run like crap (on PS5) until it gets a few (dozen?) patches.
@Enuo
I agree! The thief was the one with the freshest-looking gameplay. A fast little devious dagger that climbs around on the enemy like it's in Shadow of the Colossus or something.
Thief it is. I always did prefer to play as a fast and fluid assassin in the first game.
The mage class is the best.dragon dogma dark arisen is one of the greatest games ever made.and dark arisen 2 is going to be amazing as well.word up son
@Enuo ok ill be the one.......*thievin....sorry 😂
We still don't know if thief and archer are getting an advance class yet. I hope they do
I can't wait to meet everyone's Pawns.
Dragons dogma 2 is a day one for me. I can pre order it on pc for £38 and am fortunate enough to have a gpu that should pretty much guarantee a locked 60fps experience. Will be waiting on a price drop for rise of ronin and probably benefit from some patching.
I struggle to justify £70 on a ps5 title these days when compared to the value proposition on pc - especially as there’s normally quite a big sacrifice in image quality just to get a title running at 60fps. I bought ff16 at launch and, although it was a solid 60 in performance mode, the resolution and image quality was absolutely terrible.
This is the closest we are gonna get to a Monster hunter game on current gen until MH6 and I am all for it!
@Neither_scene Yeah it's a shame they couldn't get FF16 at 1080p on performance mode. My guess is that it just has to be the engine because there isn't that much going on except for the set pieces and Helldivers 2 is able to manage much better in comparison and still have good image quality.
Normally with these types of games I always play the "Barbarian" character, but holy smokes, does the Thief look like it will be a ton of fun to play as. That trailer has just brought my excitement to a new level.
The more i hear and see about this game, the more it feels like an expansion of DD1 and not an evolution.
I am not excited about limited fast travel and the pawns coming back.
I will get it, but will wait for a sharp price drop.
