As is pretty much tradition at this point, the arrival of new PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium titles means the service's Last Chance to Play section has also been updated with what's leaving. Expected to leave on 19th March 2024, the PS5, PS4 games departing are:
- Civilization VI (PS4)
- Tchia (PS5, PS4)
- Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5)
- NEO: The World Ends With You (PS4)
- Haven (PS5, PS4)
- Code Vein (PS4)
- Outer Wilds (PS5, PS4)
If any of these seven games are part of your backlog, you'll want to move them to the front of the queue as you've got roughly a month left to get through them. Thankfully, most of them are less than 20 hours long, so you could maybe get through a couple before the deadline. However, with NEO: The World Ends With You set at least 40 hours in length, you'll need to get a move on if you want to start and finish that one.
Are there any PS5, PS4 titles here you're sad to see go? Let us know in the comments below.

FFS… Now I FINALLY have a Plus game (Ghostwire: Tokyo) that I actually enjoy after the first two hours and I’ll have to hurry to finish it. PS Plus nowadays just sucks. Such a disappointment after a strong introduction back when the new tiers were introduced.
@Darude84 you have a month to finish it, plus it’s been on there for months.
You can’t blame subscription for this. It’s how it works, stuff gets added stuff gets removed. Happens across gaming/tv and other subs.
@Darude84
The game is bargain bin prices, why not just buy a disc and play it without rushing?
@Darude84 Obviously I don't know how much time you have for gaming but you might be happy to hear it's not a particularly long game.
If you're hunting trophies it might get a little grindy but otherwise even doing all the side missions it's not anything crazy.
D’oh! I didn’t get around to Tchia yet! 😭
@get2sammyb Me neither, now I feel like it's too late to start. It'll have to go on the 'One day but probably never' pile.
I picked up 5 of these over the past few years on sale physically so I should be fine as long as they haven’t been stolen by raccoons.
Thats the reason to buy those game or buy them cheap.you dont have to worry about games leaving.even psplus essential is better.nowaydays the PlayStation games go on sale really fast on psn or ebay. games goes on sale fast also.word up son
Ouch this is a rough month of losing games. Tchia and Haven I both really wanted to play even a few others I wanted to try out. Unfortunately not going to happen as I'm already going to struggle finishing Infinite Wealth before Rebirth.
@DonkeyFantasy That's on you. It's a 25-35 hour game for most.
Shame about Outer Wilds that game is a masterpiece.
Most games that are added for one year: Ghostwire Tokyo, Tchia, Haven, Code Vein. Shame about Civ 6 as it has been on Extra less than a year. Starting to plan my backlog when games are added onto this service to avoid disappointment in the future.
Everyone please play NEO:TWEWY it's an absolute fantastic game that's filled with such heart and its such an underrated game that deserve more people to try it out.
Ghostwire: Tokyo was the first game I played out of Plus Premium, and I have it since 1 year. Subscription services are not for me apparently.
Some very good games there, a bit disappointing even as they have been around for a while.
6/7 are still worth trying out (Ghostwire: Tokyo would be forgotten in days after release if not made by Tango Gameworks).
@GuttyYZ @get2sammyb it’s currently £8 at smyths.
I bought Tchia physical for around £7-8 a month or so back, because I had a feeling it would be removed soon. I've had Ghostwire physical since not long after launch. So, this is fine for me.
Disappointed that Civ VI is leaving. I sink a lot of hours into that but on and off between other games as bit of a palette cleanser
Sad for Outer Wilds, Haven and Tchia. i wanted to play those games, but my time didn't allow it.
Ah well, that is Tchia and Ghostwire Tokyo I probably won't get a chance to play before they leave.
Last chance to play one of the best games ever in Outer Wilds, go play it, now, and then buy it because it deserves you buying it Full Freaking Price.
@themightyant
Well, if it takes 70hrs to 100% complete I don’t think you can say that’s on him. The devs put those challenges in. Saying that others can finish MOST of the game in 30hrs misses the point that some people like to actually 100% their games before they call them finished. And in fact that’s kind of a more accurate measure of the term completed.
@Voltan I have a few hours per week to game. I hope I can just about make it with doing side missions.
@ The others: It’s the total sum of the service becoming less interesting by the month, the insane price spike and now the rushing to finish a game when I finally found something cool to play. The service already holds very little value for me (I’m letting it run out this Summer), so buying a physical copy of something that’s on Plus is a no-go at the moment.
Guess it's time to find out why people only have nice things to say about Outer Wilds.
@Darude84 I'm with you. The quality of available titles has dropped off.
I played Tchia and Ghostwire: Tokyo last year and LOVED both of them. I haven’t played Outer Wilds yet, but I’ve heard good things so I’ll start it tomorrow!
Shame about Neo TWEWY, got into it on PS Plus too. Also has a top notch soundtrack to boot.
I have tried to play Outer Wilds three times now and it never clicked. Each time I thought... "this is the time I get it", but never happened.
@thefourfoldroot1 Was being a bit salty as a (mostly) reformed achievement hunter. @DonkeyFantasy mentioned it took almost two to three times as long because of ONE stupid grindy trophy. I hated those, it was one of the reasons I stopped going for the 100%, bloody waste of time. But I should have worded it better. Thanks
What’s the point in this service , why don’t they just leave the games on there
Don't really see the point in PS+ anymore. The games each month are pretty rubbish and most are cheap to buy anyway. Definitely not renewing at the end of my subscription period.
@themightyant
lol, I understand. I’m still enjoying the added challenges myself. In fact I’m more salty that Like a Dragon Gaiden, which I’m playing at the moment, continues the trend of not needing total completion of everything to get the plat!
@get2sammyb I found it very disappointing personally. Think it would have worked better as a tighter and linear style game with the powers you get.
@get2sammyb Tchia can be beat in like a week.
Never got around to Tchia, but it is what it is. I always intended to play the Outer Wilds, so might download that today to check it out.
Civ 6 is definitely worth the money. It's one of those "forever games" that you can always start a new run in and it always feels fresh since there's so many civs with different playstyles. I've already sunk so many hours into it and now that I'm thinking about it I want to play it again.
@get2sammyb i enjoyed tchia alot more than I thought I would. Could tell the devs poured alot of soul into it

That's progress in my book! Bioshock Infinite was brilliant in that you only had to find around 80% of the audio logs to get the trophy. That meant you could safely explore the world yourself and not have to follow a guide, which just takes you out of the game. I have a few rules for trophy hunting nowadays, first three are.
#1 Not having fun? give up the plat. That's success not failure.
#2 If you have to keep referring to a guide that is objectively bad game design that makes the experience worse. Skip the plat.
#3 No OTT grinding. I don't mind a challenge, something hard, just not meaningless repetition. I won't do the same drudgery 10, 100 or 1000 times anymore just to get a meaningless trophy.
Feel much better about the ones I do get now, but I understand the drive to "complete", did it for years.
Ahh was hoping to play Ghostwire Tokyo.
Wasn't Civilization just added a few months ago? My perception of time is really bad but I swear it was added within the last 2-3 months. Actually, Code Vein is also pretty recent too I think?
It's funny because I'd say for the most part, stuff on the service stays fairly long. I'd say the majority of stuff since launch is still on there, with a few exceptions. Stray/Yakuza series stayed maybe almost a year? A few things dropped off after 6-7 months maybe but even that seems rare.
But yeah, this feels like a rarer case of a quick departure, assuming my guess is right.
FINE!! LEAVE!! I NEVER WANTED YOU ANYWAY!!!
I actually like titles leaving PS+, it gives me a deadline and the motivation to actually finish games.
This month I might take on the Tchia platinum before it leaves.
Double Post sorry (but it's for a good reason!) but I also NEED to emphasize everyone needs to play Outer Wilds! I just finished it a week or so ago and it was one of the best games I've ever played.
I'm sure it might not literally be for everyone, but it was a great game for those who love exploration and discovery. One of those games where people say "I wish I could erase my memory and experience the story again."
Sad about Ghostwire and Outer Wilds. Really wanted to platinum them before they left the service. Don't know if I have the time for either. Plus they both have DLC.
Ghostwire I brought out thanks god, tchia, was a plus essential game so we still get to keep that, neo the world ends with you I already brought outright, never heard of the other games or had any interest tbh I tried civ and I couldn't understand it very well so meh on that one
@TicklefistCP just a warning, I fell for the hype and was reasonably disappointed and didn't get the story mechanics despite fanboys of the game insisting I'm missing the point, I didn't and deleted it promptly, good luck with your progress I guess, it won't be missed on plus extra to say the least
@ZeD exactly what I just said, the game doesn't make any sense and it's just a rouge lite disguised as a edgy story or something from what I remember it, I had a negative distinctive taste for it and lost interest quite quickly
So, my gaming plans have changed for the month. Just finished Infinite Wealth and won’t be getting that platinum for a while.
Going to try to see if I can finish Ghostwire: Tokyo, Haven, and Tchia in a month. I may spend a couple of hours trying to get the last trophy I need for the platinum for Outer Wilds. I’ve rage-quit and deleted it a couple of times over that.
If anyone hasn’t tried Outer Wilds, don’t let me dissuade you. It’s a unique game that’s well worth trying.
Tchia was a nice game, I enjoyed the art style.
Once you have them in your library you can still play them. I play It Takes Two with my daughter after it was removed from the PS library and it was installed.
@JalapenoSpiceLife. I’m fairly certain that Tchia was not one of three Plus Essential games. It came to the Extra subscription service day and date of release. It was kind of a big deal because up until that point only Stray had come to the service at release.
@T-Bone09. That’s wild that you could still play It Takes Two after it left the service. I have had a couple of games that left the service installed (not just in my library), but once they left, the icon was still on my Home Screen, but there was an image of a lock in the corner and it would no longer load.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner i decided to play a game months after it’s been on subscription and now it’s leaving soon. Ps plus sucks lol. I’m curious do these types read what they type before posting lol. Sounds like a child whose mother has offered to take him to a certain store. He doesn’t want to. Then all of the sudden he wants to go. But it’s too late. Mother has made plans. Child then begins to cry and blame his mother. She offered multiple times. Can’t blame her. Well sure you can. She has raised him and he hasn’t heard the word no often. Also hasn’t had his ass tore up for being crybaby for not getting his way. Lol yeah kinda long response. But reading his post this scenario happened in my head a lot faster than I can type. Gamers have turned into a bunch of crybabies though. Lol
They lost a customer a few months back. Microsoft may have lost the console wars but they won the subscription wars, if there ever was one. I have a Switch, PS5, a gaming PC and Game Pass. Completely gave up on PS subscriptions. I am not into COD 29 or whatever online shooter is hip, so the only benefit (for me) was cloud saves. I can live without that.
@Stevemalkpus I was wrong.. i tried it today and it was off.. I thought it was like the essential monthly games, but I stand corrected 😅
@Ninerguy1608 no offense you must have no wanted to play it that badly if you waited this long , also you have till march 19th to finish playing it.
@twitchtvpat read my comment again. All of it. I was referring to to the person who decided to play it and now IT’s leaving soon. So he says ps plus sucks. My long comment is about him. Not me wanting to play it.
