Revolutionary RPG Baldur's Gate 3 was a monstrous surpise last year, seemingly coming out of nowhere to contend with the industry's heavy hitters. If you're anything like us, you might still be playing, testing the boundaries of this intricate game. For those super fans who don't need any more convincing, developer Larian Studios has revealed that the game's gorgeous PS5 Deluxe Edition will begin shipping in late April, provided there are no last-minute hiccups.
While the first wave has sold out entirely, there's still time to get on board for the next, which is expected to ship in Q2 2024. On PS5, Baldur's Gate 3 comes printed on two discs, and the Deluxe Edition comes packaged in a collector's box, bundled with a Mind Flayer poster, world map, three-disc original soundtrack, two patches, and 32 stickers. Larian provided the shipping update in a post on Twitter:

Is there going to be a standard physical release or is it only this deluxe edition?
Standard copy please Larian. I don't need all the extra stuff.

80€ for the product + 20€ for shipping is way too much for unwanted tat. Why couldn't they do a standard edition...

Im still on my first play through! I love it. It's one of my favourite games of all time, but I'm monumentally bad at it so after 50 hours I've put the difficulty down to easy and I'm breezing through it for the (excellent) story. This deluxe edition looks lovely but I've nowhere to put it.

I thought the box was a strategy guide book, it is a shame because I would have loved having one looking like that.

Kinda sucks that we have to wait a little bit more due to production issues with the Xbox version (didn't fit in the planned 3 disks and they had to add a 4th one), but oh well...
@Dragoon1994 same thing as the steam deck. Don’t get me wrong, both are nice but I’m tired of the private storefront sales. Way too complicated and costly for the consumer to get it anywhere outside of where the company is based.

I placed an order for physical copy (first wave) and hoped I'll get it in my hand by end of March but it seems I have to wait for one to two months. It's okay. I have very excellent at patience as I have so many games to catch up. Sometime wait is worth
I don't want tat, just let me give you money for a standard disc edition, how is that so unappealing?
