The ever-industrious Italian outfit Milestone is back with Monster Jam Showdown, which is due out on PS5 and PS4 later this year. Pitched as a comprehensive monster truck experience, with 40 rigs included in the base game and more to follow through free and premium add-on packs, the developer is promising to leverage its “technology and expertise [to] deliver an approachable yet rewarding experience”.
The game will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and will include a variety of venues and disciplines, including “American football fields, baseball stadiums, and speedways”. There’ll also be some sandbox-style environments inspired by various American hot spots, as well as “a total of 10 different game modes [which] will grant a robust mix of arcade experiences both online and offline, including split-screen”.
You can check out the announcement trailer above for a taste of what to expect from the final title, with more information presumably due throughout the year as the project nears the finish line.

Somehow in that headline i managed to read Motorstorm 😂
@Kidfunkadelic83 It kinda does look a LITTLE bit MotorStorm to be fair!
@get2sammyb we can only wish.
I hope this is as fun as it looks.
I was just thinking yesterday how absurd it is that we’re halfway through the PS5s lifecycle, and somehow the PS4 is still getting games.
I guess the PS2 is all like 🥹 at the moment.
