Update: The Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass is now available to buy on the PS Store in Europe and North America — and so we know exactly how much it costs. It's priced at £28.99 in the UK, and $34.99 in the US, which is pretty much what we expected given price points in other regions.
Original Story: The so-called Expansion Pass for Persona 3 Reload is now available to pre-order in regions where it's the 12th March — which means that we now know how much it's going to cost. In New Zealand, for example, it's priced at $56.95, which roughly equates to £30 in the UK and $35 in the US.
Just to be crystal clear, this is the cost of the full Expansion Pass, which includes two minor DLC packs — to be released in March and May, respectively — and the Episode Aigis expansion, which is set for September.
We don't yet know if Episode Aigis can be purchased separately. The expansion itself doesn't have its own PS Store page at the time of writing, and so we're left wondering whether it's only available through the aforementioned pass. We'll be sure to keep you updated once we know more (and the official pricing has been revealed in other territories).
What do you make of this price point? Is it about what you expected? Follow Aigis into the depths of Tartarus, otherwise known as the comments section below.

I will preorder this without hesitating while the digital stock lasts
I will wait for the Royal edition.
I'll probably watch someone else play it, just to be 100% done with it xD
It's SEGA publishing, so it shouldn't take too awful long before a complete edition with all DLC is available for MSRP.
That's fair I suppose for the entire expansion pass. If Aigis is available separately I'm guessing it will be about $15-20.
@Czar_Khastik
lol...I never could understand preordering digitally. Unless they are giving me, what is essentially air, for half price, even if I want it digitally I'll get it on release day.
@MikeOrator I don't understand it either. It would be really fun if they could add a download counter which limits the number of purchases. The FOMO in people would kick in almost instantly
@Czar_Khastik Don't give them ideas 🤣
I feel that Switch's successor will get a "Complete Edition" with everything on the cart for $70. So there'll probably be a PS5 version around the same time as well.
Really hoping the expansion is pretty beefy at that price point.
@MikeOrator As someone who occasionally preorders digitally, it allows for preloading and sometimes you even get a slight discount. I only do this for games I'm reasonably sure would be good (based on previews from trusted sources, demos, etc.) and I would enjoy.
$35 or free with Xbox Gamepass perk hmmm
@Ralizah this is what I will be buying. I’ll even get a CE of it if there is one.
@Jaz007 GOTY Edition, or whenever the game + DLC equals $60 in total. Whichever comes first by the time I'm ready to play it.
Still at the very beginning of Strange Journey Redux, and will probably also pick up SMT V: Vengeance first, so I probably have a while before I properly get into this.
Imagine if Metaphor: ReFantazio also drops this year!
@Ralizah Wasn't Metaphor confirmed for this year? Or am I crazy? Probably better if it doesn't release this year because I am absolutely smothered in great games at the moment.
As someone who never played FES, how long is this additional content?
I haven't bought Reload and am not in any hurry to do so, but I'd love to play this epilogue when I do get around to it. I just hope they sell it separately, because I'm never buying costumes/music for a single player game.
i will wait for the Reloaded edition
Atlus making my decision not to support them again easier every single day.
Sounds like a steal at that price, and I mean Helldivers II, of course.
@Cloud39472 Atlus delaying games out of their initial release window is nothing new. I'll believe it's a 2024 release when we get a concrete release date.
@RudeAnimat0r I've read the original was about 30 hours, but it got a very mixed reception at the time. maybe the remake alters it a lot though who knows.
@ConsoleGamer86
the problem: SEGA wants to charge you $100 for a game
people: but on gamepass is FrEeEeEeE
lol
You won't trick me again Atlus.
I'm waiting for the inevitable Giga Ultra (We promise this one's final) Edition.
No thanks Sega I will wait for a complete edition at a reduced price, I have all the time in the world and plenty of great games to play while I wait 👍
Will play on gamepass.
£30 is steep
Oh no oh no...You release DLC the same year as the game released at £30...so you really just wanted to sell the game for £90 to start with. Tsk Christ...Atlus!
@Aigis Surely you get the game for free? You're a main character!
@Melee_Ace
i have seen slight discounts. So maybe that would be a case.
We really do have a dilemma when it comes to the price of games and the push for value-added content. Publishers need more money as production costs skyrocket to maintain their profits, as profit is the main motivator for these companies to keep making games. We can't both be involved in a capitalist activity voluntarily and then call that capitalist venture anti-consumer.
Now, don't get me wrong, basic needs should have some sort of price cap or control on them. But gaming is a luxury purchase, I know many people don't see it that way but it is. I don't like to think about price increases in the gaming hobby but if that's what it takes to keep people from being laid off and the quality to keep improving I will pay 10 or 20 more for a game I want. Maybe if single-player narrative games could be sold for more these companies would finally stop chasing the GaaS cash cow around the Fortnite map and just get back to making great games.
Anyway...I'm not a CEO or whatever so who knows what those fat cats are thinking.
Priced at roughly Gamepass
I saw $35 listed on Crunchy Roll news a few days ago but wasn't sure. That does sounds like a lot IMO.
Sheesh… I was expecting $15-$20 at most
Lovely, how devs came out and said this expansion is basically essential content and was not in final release due to time constraints.. but still go ahead and charge extra $30 for it 😁
You know, post launch patches with free expansions are not unheard of.. if time was the only reason (not trying to sell a game for $100).
35 for some DLC and a spin off expansion? knowing Atlus we should feel luck they are not charging full price €70 for a "Golden" edition that you can't purchase another way. I don't really care about Velvet Room costumes or background music set so hope it will be $20 just for episode Aegis
I'll wait a year and buy the game and the DLC in a bundle for £30. It should've come packaged with the game and Atlus won't get me with their scummy practices.
Wait the people on Gamepass get this for free!? So basically everyone on PlayStation is Atlus's pay pig and we get to subsidize Xbox owners? Sega can no longer hide the contempt they have for Sony ever since the Dreamcast.
Damn they really want that money 💰
@Aigis Can I get an autographed copy of the game?
Overpriced dlc. I don't usually buy dlc.
@Darylb88
Or I can just buy other JRPGs instead of supporting something I have no interest in.
@Darylb88 You can't just get gamepass, one you have to have a PC or Xbox Console to play games properly, and then pay a monthly subscription to rent the games. So for playstation players to play persona 3 reloaded on gamepass at the same quality they would on playstation they would need to spend over £250. That's never going to happen and even in Japan the majority of people would rather buy it on playstation than get an xbox for gamepass. No playstation player is buying an Xbox to play an handful of JRPG's on gamepass, you're preaching to the wrong crowd.
@MikeOrator whilst I agree with you, there is, however, one benefit to pre ordering digitally and that’s the ability to preload.
If you’re planning on buying digital but have poor internet speeds a pre order often allows you a few days to download a game ready for launch.
I used to live in an area that had no access to fibre, the fastest download I recorded was 2.6mbps. It would take me days to download a game, made worse by the fact that any other internet based activity such as streaming a video would steal most of my available bandwidth. This would leave nothing for the download, essentially pausing it.
@Darylb88 Major JRPG's released this year so far and upcoming....
Yakuza Infinite Wealth
Persona 3 Reloaded
Granblue Fantasy Relink
Final Fantasy 7 ReBirth
Trails of Cold Steel 2/3 remaster
Unicorn Overlord
Dragons Dogma 2
Sand Land
Monster Hunter Stories 1/2
SMT Vengeance
Eiyuden Chronicles Hundred Heroes
Trails through Daybreak
Stellar Blade (Korean)
Yet only two of those are coming (or came) to gamepass.
@Darylb88 Don't get me wrong if you have both playstation and xbox consoles then yeah it makes absolute sense to get the games on gamepass and save money, but for those who don't have an Xbox or PC then it wouldn't make sense to invest and isn't as simple as just telling people to get it on gamepass and save money. I still think though that playstation should make more of and effort to get new jrpgs onto playstation plus, especially the smaller titles like Hundred Heroes and Unicorn Overlord, it worked well for Sea of Stars.
@Darylb88
I can get Granblue Fantasy ReLink and Final Fantasy VII REBIRTH right now on PS5, neither of these are on PS5.
I am not interested in paying a subscription and then rushing through a game in my favourite genre to finish it before a deadline. I would much rather just buy the game as I already do.
Persona 3 Reload I refuse to support because Atlus are nothing but grubby con men.
@Darylb88
Not trying too? Just tired of being told I should subscribe to a service that I've always been underwhelmed by.
@Neither_scene
Ok, that's another good reason. Sheesh the way things are going I may have to admit that my original post was wrong...lol...
there is absolutely no reason to continue this trend. if you care about the future of the industry and have some self respect, do your part and send a message to atlus/sega by not purchasing this.
