Persona 3 Reload is getting an 'Expansion Pass', and Episode Aigis is going to be part of it. To be clear, Episode Aigis forms the additional story scenario that was present in Persona 3 FES on PS2. It was called 'The Answer' here in the West, while 'Episode Aegis' was its Japanese name.
Anyway, the Expansion Pass only includes that one expansion — which is perhaps a bit misleading. Before Episode Aigis launches in September, a DLC pack that includes Persona 5 Royal and Persona 4 Golden music will drop on the 12th March. Then, the 'Velvet Costume and BGM Set' arrives in May.
We don't know the pricing for this Expansion Pass yet, but we're assuming Episode Aigis can be purchased separately.
What do you think of Episode Aigis? Should it have been included with Persona 3 Reload to begin with? How much would you pay for it? Reload those finger guns in the comments section below.

Atlus...
Day one buy for me. If anyone deserves to get away with business-ing like a business it's Atlus. Their games saved my life during the pandemic.
Done dirty. I'll grab the game and DLC next year.
Yay more milking!
Expansion will be free with GamePass so I’ll be playing it there!
Shame the dlc is Xbox exclusive /s
Well shoot I did make a promise yesterday to beat this game before the end of the year now I guess it’s gotta be by September ahahaha. Kinda weird how they just revealed this out of nowhere even if it was at a Xbox event. Could we maybe see some of the P3P content? Truly make this the definitive edition of P3 to pick up.
@personauser93 Not sure why anyone would have ever thought it would be.
F Atlus. Seriously. Absolutely ridiculous.
Im done buying their crap, even if its good. BS like this insane, and they just keep getting away with it. F that.
Should it have been included? Yes.
Will I still buy it? Yes.
@rawzeku
As if noone expected that really.
While we are on this topic can anyone confirm that Persona 4 Golden has all optional content included? Thinking about buying in on the current sale.
@ZhuckelDror Yes it does
@crashcontrol
Perfect!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Atlus promised that there would be no DLC or expansion for this remake of Persona 3, right? So they lied?
Well that's not a surprise. I hope the DLC is not stupid $$$
@B0udoir They said there would be no rerelease, and then everyone here acted like they were going to do that, when it would make way more sense to do this.
@Darylb88 Hope you're doing better, friend.
Persona 5 was a truly special game. Few games have had such an emotional impact on me either - and the Royal expansion was phenomenal, particularly dropping when it did.
Assuming you can just buy the actual Episode Aigis separately I think that's fine. If they try to pull a "you have to buy the expansion pass in in order to get the Aigis DLC" then I could understand folks being a little upset about that.
Hopefully this is a sign of Atlus learning. I think everyone is kind of done with rebuying the same game for added content, but i'll happily pay for an expansion pass if it adds something meaningful.
Having not played P3 or the answer before, i assume this is standalone content, compared to Royal where added narrative and areas were weaved into the main game - making a standalone dlc impossible
I guess I'll wait for the inevitable complete edition.
@Rob_230
It's basically all a big epilogue to the base game. In fact you could actually just jump right into The Answer right away as it didn't even share any saved data with the base game so yeah your right to not expect something like what P5 Royal did.
Not really that keen on getting this. The base game itself is a major grind, why would I then want to spend more money on another 30 hours of grinding. Absolute waste of time.
@LtSarge
Because that's what Atlus games are all about?
I liked P3P better, so no reason for me to buy this as well.
I'm thinking about just whaching a yt video, I remember beating it on ps2 and didn't really like it, ended up rushing it to get it over with it.
Or by the time I get to playing it, it'll have a good sale.
@personauser93 The DLC won't be Xbox exclusive, like everything xbox has shown from atlus they make it seem exclusive but turns out not to be.
to be clear...
This...Aigis...chapter is the final chapter in the main story and NOT the feMC retelling of the main story. Am I correct in this? I just started the game on the weekend and want to make sure I can keep playing or do I need to wait till the Aigis/The Answer comes out for the full deal?
@MikeOrator Unlike the additional stuff they added in P4G and P5R, Episode Aigis/The Answer is treated more like a second campaign and is separate from the main game despite taking place after. You will not be missing anything by playing the game now.
@UltimateOtaku91 It's not exclusive to Xbox but if you have Gamepass you can get the DLC free as a Gamepass perk.
@MikeOrator
You are correct
@Darylb88 Yeah I know, its still bad though as really it should have been included with the game from the beginning anyway.
@B0udoir They did not say that, it's exactly as @NotGeno said.
@steizgr8 @crashcontrol
Thanks, fellow game enjoyers...
@Rob_230 Thank you for your well wishes. I am doing much better now. I agree I really enjoyed it alongside playing Persona 4 for the first time.
Utterly gross.
I’ll buy the collector’s edition of the full game when it’s rereleased.
I passed right over this because I knew stuff like this was gonna happen.
And this does not include the option to play as the female protagonist? Or was that part of the Answer?
Hahahaha. Who could have seen this coming??
Should have been included with the full game. Was clearly cut to be a cash grab and a "generous bonus" on GamePass. On the bright side, at least it's not made into a Golden/Royal game charging full price
@ShogunRok Wait is this confirmed to be XBox exclusive?!
I think it's a waste of time. It does nothing to change the ending or add to the main campaign. It's no golden/royal. I won't be getting it. I prefer the way the main game ends.
Gamepass wins again
@WiiWareWave No, it's just that Xbox has all the marketing.
In.... September?!
That's an awfully long time away, considering it's most likely ready to DL now.
I wonder how much Atlus are getting from the gamepass deals because on PC/PS and Nintendo the games sell well so maybe they feel this is the only way to do business on Xbox and get profit. Either way a good get for gamepass though we still do not know the player number metrics only actual launch period Sales.
@ZhuckelDror You clearly haven't played Persona 3.
