Pre-orders for an unannounced PS4 collection of beloved post-apocalyptic PC S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are currently live in Japan, indicating that the atmospheric shooters could be headed to console for the very first time. Spotted by the ever-watchful Gematsu, pre-orders are currently available at Japanese retailers like Biccamera, Neowing, and Rakuten Book.
The Legends of the Zone Trilogy bundles together S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, and Gematsu theorizes that, given the timing, it will likely be officially announced during the Xbox Partner Preview live stream later today on 6th March. It's a strange, exciting new world where we get PS4 games out of such an event, but you won't hear any complaints from us.

Never played any of these games before. Might be a good time to give it a chance, since i loved Metro Exodus
I bought and tried a couple of the STALKER games on PC but I dont know if I just didn't enjoy or fully understood it.
Never played these because they were originally PC only and I've never had a particularly beefy PC. Always liked the look of them though so will almost certainly give them a go at some point
This makes sense since S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is only a timed Xbox exclusive for 3 months so this will drum up interest for when it inevitably makes its way to playstation.
I’ve only ever played the first, but it was fantastic. Hard as nails at the start, but when you get into it it’s an incredibly intense game. But be exciting to play it again and the other two!
I'll grab the trilogy and stalker 2 once it reaches ps5
@MrMagic In fact, the studio has already confirmed that the contract was changed as Microsoft has been financing development for years sincethe game suffered delays thanks to the war. According to the studio, it doesn't haver a limited time for the exclusivity, but I don't see Microsoft having exclusives, so... A year maybe?
3 fantastic games. But be warned they are typically hardcore PC games - difficult, obtuse, complex and very much of their time. Metro games they ain't but have the best atmosphere in any game. Can't wait for this, if true
@MaikonCSGarcia Yeah I've heard this before but when you Google it all you get is articles saying it was in the leaked documents at the ftc court case and multiple articles from places like IGN saying it is only timed for 3 months. There is one article I found though that says when the developers were asked they said they have no plans for a PS5 release at this time which is just the typical response from most studios when asked about timed exclusivity.
Day one buy for me if it's true.
Nice, remember trying to play stalker on pc few years back, really liked it, these were supposed to come out on the Xbox 360 back in the day I believe but was cancelled, so would be nice to play these finally
I'd be down for this, just finished Roadside Picnic last week, superb book that these games are based on. BTW the book title in of itself is an absolutely inspired analogy! It's a must read. I would hope there would be some refinement of the graphics though for this release, remaster territory would do.

That's good news for console players. I have these on PC but only played the first one, Shadow of Chernobyl, yet. Amazing game.
On PC the games don't even have controller support, so I had to use a program that translates Mouse & Keyboard into controller buttons to play it that way.
Always wanted to check the series out. Is that the first three games and one Xbox has coming out this year is the 4th?
