The Trophy list for soon-to-release PS5 exclusive Rise of the Ronin is now showing up on Sony's servers. There are 51 digital trinkets to collect, and after a brief analysis, we're pretty sure that unlocking the Platinum Trophy won't be a walk in the park.
For starters, the action RPG expects you to complete basically all of its open world objectives. There are a number of Trophies related to collectibles, and a bunch more that cover side quests. It's very much your typical open world Trophy list, and there's probably a lot of grinding involved.
However, there's only one Trophy that's impacted by difficulty settings, and it tasks you with clearing a 'Ronin Mission' on the 'Midnight' difficulty — which we assume is the equivalent of very hard. All the other Trophies can seemingly be unlocked even if you're playing on easy.
Naturally, the full list does contain story spoilers, so be careful if you're giving it a look.

Am really interested in this and do love a platinum trophy. Will be waiting for reviews to see how the difficulty is though. My old man skills are usually no match for Team Ninja games. But only doing one mission on hard might be possible, even for me.
Hopefully there's a ng+ that could help with the difficulty trophy. Are there any missable trophies?
Bond transfer, technology research, fugitives.... Looks like there's a lot in there. Waiting for reviews.
Sounds like a bit of a slog but if I’m really, really enjoying the game I might give it a shot. I somehow toiled my way to Ghostwire Tokyo’s platinum so it can be done!
Nice reference to Like a Dragon: Ishin! in there.
@Jimmer-jammer I wanted to do it but tapped out on the 100% spirits trophies
This doesn’t sound too terrible. Considering the type of game this is, most of these trophies should unlock through a natural playthrough. Depending on length, I may attempt to platinum this.
@BaronSqwelch I almost did too! Textbook definition of a slog. Still not entirely sure what possessed me to see it through.
Midnight Difficulty might be this games version of the Twilight Missions from Nioh, amped up versions of normal missions with bonus rewards... I'm still not sure what kinda loot/gear system this is going for.
If it's not as bloated as FF7 Rebirth I'm happy.
I have already cleared so many thieves camps, activated so many towers, delivered more parcels than the whole FedEx company, farmed so many flowers and mushrooms than all the hippies in the 60ies, fast-traveled a billion times across so many empty territories.... why should I do that ... again? Open-world is just a big no for me. And if 75% of a game has to be ignored to be enjoyable, I want a 75% reduction on the price.
I'm hoping it's good. Wo long was a bit of a let down.
@jt887 that's fair im not even saying it's that bad just that the combat got stale quick for me. I preferred nioh but nioh also had its problems.
They are at least appearing to be try some new things here. So hopefully they break the mould they've been happy to recycle for a few years now.
i can't wait for this game but i'm not picking it up till i'm done playing rebirth i know either i won't play one or the other.
@Jimmer-jammer damn, congrats. I gave up on the platinum about half way through. I beat the game and enjoyed it a lot for about 20 hours, but when i realized i have to spend another 20 or so just to find those damned spirits.. I ditched it. At least if they appeared on the map I may have grinded them out, but only with that mechanic of showing you the nearest one, it was too much for me )
@Petrecis24 Thanks! There are some upgrades that make collecting spirits slightly less laborious but however you slice it, it’s a heck of a grind.
Just give me a similar difficulty to Ghost of Tushima and I'll be happy. I'll wait for the metacritic reviews from real players instead of feckless reviewers before buying!
