While we’re enormous fans of Train Sim World 4 and Dovetail’s entire railway simulation series, we’ve often criticised its overemphasis on British, American, and German routes. Fortunately, it looks like the release is poised to receive its first Japanese add-on, in the form of the Tadami Line, in-development at external studio Union Workshop.
Presumably, this will be an improved version of the same expansion already available for Train Simulator on PC, although we’ll need to wait for official confirmation on that front. Nevertheless, we know the Tadami Line runs between Koide in Niigata Prefecture and Aizu-Wakamatsu in Fukushima Prefecture, and is operated by the East Japan Railway Company, or JR East.
There are actually quite a lot of DLC packs in the pipeline for Train Sim World 4, including an addition to the London Overground and the Fife Circle Line in Scotland. But it’s this Japanese route which jumps out – it’ll be nice to play something a little different in a new country for once, won’t it?

Dont even need to read this to know Sammy will be a happy boy!
Finally! Shinkansen would be a nice addon too.
This game looks like my sort of thing, I sunk many an hour into Euro Truck Simulator. I bought this game for the PC a while back but haven't gotten around to it yet. Games like these require a bit of time investment which I don't have to spare right now unfortunately.
