The latest PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium monthly updates are now live on PS5 and PS4, bringing 13 new games to the two tiers of Sony's subscription service. UK and European users have access to them now, and USA readers can grab them later on in the day. If you've forgotten any of the additions, here's the complete list:
PS Plus Extra: May 2024
- Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4) | Review
- Deceive Inc. (PS5) | Review
- The Sims 4: City Living (PS4)
- Crime Boss: Rockay City (PS5)
- The Settlers: New Allies (PS4)
- Stranded: Alien Dawn (PS5, PS4)
- Cat Quest (PS4) | Review
- Cat Quest II (PS4) Review
- The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame (PS4) Review
- Watch Dogs (PS4) Review
PS Plus Premium: May 2024
- 2Xtreme (PS1)
- G-Police (PS1)
- Worms Pinball (PS1)
While these 13 new titles offer a few highlights to look out for, the list of games going in the other direction and leaving the service is more than double the size. Including the likes of Horizon Zero Dawn and every Darksiders game, 35 titles depart PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium today. Sony said this is part of its "normal content refresh" plans.
We conducted our usual PS Plus Poll over the weekend to gather your thoughts, and it's safe to say the reception to this month's lineup has been negative. 30 per cent of responses opted for the "it's a crap selection" option, then another 21 per cent voted to say it "could be better". Now the games are live, has your opinion changed at all? Let us know in the comments below.

I’m not extending my PS Extra pass…
One of the worst month ever (maybe the worst since PS NOW rebrand).
G-Police, Red Dead Redemption 2, Watch Dogs. That's my week sorted!
Looking forward to playing the settlers and cat quest 2 tonight, hopefully they are short games as I have Rise of the Ronin, Dragons Dogma 2 and Paper Mario TTYD coming this Friday.
Watch Dogs and Red Dead 2 have already been on the service previously (at least when it was called PS Now) so they don't feel much like headliners. And those are horrendous Premium choices. Why should we even be excited about the prospect of the new PS2 emulator if this is what they're doing with their PS1/PSP emulator?
@Soulless666 Yep, I've already set mine down to Essential - Extra 'upgrade' runs out at the start of December.
Let's go cat quest
Apart from red dead redemption 2 that's a below average month....poor
Ofc I bought rd2 and haven't even started it yet 🙃 not mad though seems a game worth taking your time with.
Aarrrggghhh! Outrage and Despair! Worst thing ever. I'm going to cancel everything and reassess my life choices....
Oh no wait, I still have plenty of things to play. And I may even get to Cat Quest 2 coz the first was fun enough.
Please forgive my earlier outburst.
Still have Tunic and puzzlevania Animal Well. RDR2 still runs crashtacular.
Might even pay full price for g-police. not getting the pass like lol....
I feel like Extra has been great for me but this is one of the first months where I’m not really interested in anything (already played RDR2). I have tons of games to play right now so not a problem. Guess I could check out cat quest?
Still disappointing how the vast majority of PSP & PS1 "Classics" have tended to be mostly not,!😕
There either is a severe lack of will on the part of 3rd party publishers ot the budget devoted to acquiring such content means they're unwilling.
RE 2 & 3,Dino Crisis 1 & 2, Ultimate Ghosts'n'Goblins, Gran Turismo 1 & 2, Colony Wars series,Alundra, Blood Omen Legacy of Kain, Adventures of Lomax,Rayman, GTA 1 & 2,just to name a few! Can't say I'm holding my breath on the innumerable PS2 "classics" based on their current efforts!
I remember when G-Police came out and it was so insanely difficult to get my head around the controls, I even remember buying the pre-Dual Shock analogue controller. Second nature nowadays, but in 1997 or whatever, it was a revelation!
That, Colony Wars and Descent felt crazy
The reception to the plus games and anything added to extra and premium is always negative..always. I usually always find something to play whilst waiting for new releases so I get plenty of milage out of my extra subscription. I'll be trying out the crime game thingy with chuck norris because it's CHUCK NORRIS and I just have to play it even though its probably crap.
I really am thinking of downgrading to the lowest tier right now because I don't really think it's worth it. Though I'm not sure if Fallout 4 PS5 version is playable i think it was on premium tier ? And I claimed it but I thought I bought it digitally can't quite find out if i did or not. But I'm willing to sacrifice it in order to save cash because the games have become really ****
@Robocod Red tape is one issue, game could have music that Sony just won't pay to be relicensed. But it could also be the publisher who owns it doesn't want it to be brought on the store, it sucks it really does because when PS3 came online we all thought it's store would have tons of PS1 and PS2 classics
The emulation of Worms Pinball is totally broken. Did they not test this on a PS5 before releasing it?
Might as well give Crime Boss a shot...
