GTA 6 PS5 Release Window Narrowed to Fall 2025

They could drop it at 3am on a random Monday and it'll instantly sell 30 million

This actually just makes me more confident it won't be until 2026. There's always at least one delay with every R* title.

Will have to make sure I have built up a bit of a back catalogue of games to play by then, as im sure few other games will release in this window, and i will need something to play if 6 is similar to previous titles - i much preferred Saint Row...

Wtf is taking so long. I don't even care for gta but is it just going to be the most absurdly large game that everyone else will go belly up trying to mimic? Gta is almost bad for the industry collectively lol

@MikeOrator all the spidermans, divisions, watch dogs, dead islands, dying lights cyberpunk hasn't satiated your appetite...I kid I kid lol. I guess I find modern settings boring to an extent...i did buy gta on my ps3 (crazy even typing that) and had my fun but I just don't get the hype

@Korgon it was already delayed. They said previously 3 months ago and 6 months ago, that they will earn around 7-8 billions from 2024 1st april till 2025 1st April. Now it is 5-6 billions prediction for same period.

One of the few games I’ll play at release.

I can’t wait for the game me and my family are going to have a massive gaming session when this comes out

Always expect official release date to be in the end of the year, but I say they will also officially delay it for 4-5 months after their release date would be announced earlier in 2025 too. Realistically expect it around march 2026.

Really long time to wait, but once it will happen you will be questioning yourself where did the time go.

I say we will get first new screenshots soon enough tho, maybe even before July.

I played GTA 5 on the PS3. Haven't played it since and any interest I had for a new one has waned. Will pick it up on sale sometime as long as there is a good single player story.

So we know horizon 3 release window now.

It will probably be difficult to get a PS5 Pro for a while so this gives me more time to get it before GTA6

Welp looks like I’ll have plenty of time to clear out a good chunk of my PS5 backlog. Still a while away, but hopefully when it comes out the game isn’t loaded with bugs for a smooth launch.

The fact that by the time the game releases it’s gonna be 12 or 13 years since the last one annoys the hell out of me.

Wonder if they will wait with the PS5 Pro until near the release of GTA6 and also some of Sonys top studio developers to assist to get the most out of the PS5 Pro so it makes as much performance difference as possible and give PS5 Pro and great push start. Of course bundles etc as well.

They never set an actual date though. At least not publicly. R* has delayed after giving a release date for their latest game every time since GTA4 if I remember correctly so I'm still not convinced it's coming next year. I'd love to be wrong though!

Yes, and to pass comment that with them giving a launch window so far out that other games will probably plan their launches outside of said window. Oh, and lamenting the fall of Saints Row.

This game is going to wreck the sales charts. Funny thing is Mario Kart 8 will still be in the top 5. But man i wouldn’t release a game anywhere near this title. Pretty sure i am getting it for PS5 Pro, maybe Series X, but likely Pro. Can’t wait, just wish it was Red Dead 3.

So, a lot of publishers gonna avoid Fall 2025 or their games will be crushed by GTA 6.

I might just wait and get the remaster of the remastered version for my PS7

@MikeOrator Well I only bought the original, VC, and SA. And only finished VC. That said, this does interest me more than the series usually does.

@Matroska shows how susceptible some people are to American culture. Which is a shame because people who now say something as illogical as, 'can I get a..' when they were taught differently at school must be easy to influence.

@riceNpea Sadly it's been going on for ages. There's an old Fry and Laurie sketch about it; filling out a form instead of filling in a form and so on. Sean Lock did a bit about the "can I get a..." thing too. To be fair, I do say "ass" instead of "arse" (hopefully Push Square's inconsistent swearing rules are okay with me saying that).

@Matroska inconsistent indeed. Put a * in place of a letter in a swear word and it's allowed. Spell the word out and the post is deleted. Totally pointless. Our unhindered understanding, despite the asterix, of the word's definition, context is acceptable. It's the visual representation of the word itself is what is deemed offensive, which makes no sense 😂👍
