Helldivers 2 players have been issued a new Major Order, focusing the community's ongoing Galactic War efforts in a specific place, towards a particular end. However, this time, the Meridia Superhive situation will require a more permanent solution, with the planet slated for permanent destruction.
Super Earth has decreed that the time has finally arrived for the experimental deployment of Dark Fluid, reverse-engineered from reclaimed Illuminate technology (no red flags). Super Earth High Command says: "We must seize this opportunity to destroy the Terminid Supercolony. Helldivers all across the planet will deploy with a limited supply of the exotic matter known as Dark Fluid and insert it at critical points in the planet's crust. Once critical mass is reached, the planet will collapse into a black hole, destroying the threat to Liberty once and for all."
While High Command describes the destruction of Meridia as "a tragedy", Super Earth has no choice; the bug threat must be contained at all costs. Will you be deploying to Meridia over the weekend? Let us know in the comments section below.

If all goes to plan.... we'll be having something new to deal with soon.
@Nepp67
My thoughts exactly.
@The_Wailing_Doom @Nepp67 I agree. I love the game to bits but it could do with a new enemy or two. Hopefully this will usher in the illuminates.
"a well-understood alien superweapon" 😂 yea ok Superearth... good luck with that. The Illuminates will not be happy and they will come.
@Northern_munkey Agreed, I love it but there's needs to be more and I would love if outfits had more unique passives. The fact that we didn't get a passive to be able to run more easily in deep snow or ice with the last warbond is disappointing and shows they need more time in the oven.
Here we go, Helldivers!
Played this a few times last night and it’s a mess. Having enemies spawn directly on the objective seems massively unfair. Also completing the one objective triggers the evacuation but on completion the game punishes you for not completing all the objectives??? Did they play test it before they put it out?
I'm sure by the time i get on the objective will be done, lot of times i haven't got to do an objective or planet because people sweat them within 24 hours, some planets are liberated with mere hours all the time.
@TripleKing333 are you sure you are playing the same game as the rest of us? Completing the main objective does not always trigger the evacuation at all as you still have to activate the evacuation console. There are some missions where you have to eradicate a certain amount of enemies and then the evacuation shuttle automatically drops. The game is in a rock solid state at the moment and is brilliant fun. My friends and myself have ZERO issues other than that it could do with some new content.
@Northern_munkey I’m talking specifically about the new mission.
@TripleKing333 so was I and the game in general..I guess our level of expectation and what we consider a good gaming experience are different to your obviously high standards..any way I hope you eventually enjoy yourself as much as we do..
@Northern_munkey You literally cannot complete the mission with anything higher than a 1 star rating due to a bug which then impacts the progress of completing the Major Order. If your standards are that low and you’re fine with that, power to you. Hope your friends can pull the weight of every player that’s fallen off over the last month.
@TripleKing333 OK buddy I'm sorry to hear you are having such a bad experience with the game at the moment. We did have a slight connection issue late last night which required a reboot but that's not uncommon. I'll pass on to the guys that you think we all have really low standards and I'm sure they will be thrilled too.
@Northern_munkey I’m not your buddy, Guy.
Have fun with your broken mission!
@TripleKing333 👍
