The director of the Mad Max franchise, George Miller, thinks the world is ready for another video game adaptation. Still, only a game made at "the highest level" will suffice, made by someone like, say, auteur creator Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear Solid, Death Stranding fame.
Considering that Kojima is himself on record describing George Miller as a God (and the Mad Max saga, his own personal Bible), this looks like a match made in heaven, at least on paper. Unfortunately, Miller said that he would "never ask" the legendary game designer to craft such a game because he's confident that Kojima has "so much fantastic stuff in his own head". GAMINGbible captured the will they/won't they moment on the red carpet for the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga premiere.
Miller admits that the last video game outing for the franchise, 2015's Mad Max, just "wasn't as good as I wanted it to be". We hope that Miller, or at least one of his associates, can get the two cinematic geniuses together to work on something. We know it would make Kojima so happy.
