A total of 12 games are being stripped across PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium next month. As displayed on the PS Store's 'Last chance to play' page, subscribers will soon have to say goodbye to the following PS5 and PS4 titles:
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (PS4)
- DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace (PS4)
- Dodgeball Academia (PS4)
- Grand Theft Auto V (PS5, PS4)
- Indivisible (PS4)
- Monster Jam Steel Titans (PS4)
- MotoGP 23 (PS5, PS4)
- SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated (PS4)
- The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition (PS4)
- The Wild at Heart (PS4)
- Unturned (PS4)
PS Plus Premium
- Baja: Edge of Control HD (PS4)
Okay, so it's not the most high profile list of games, is it? Still, there are some decent — and perhaps overlooked — offerings here. If you want to get stuck into any of these titles through your subscription, you'll have to do it before the 18th June.
It's perhaps worth noting that the biggest name of the bunch, the evergreen GTA 5, has only been available through PS Plus Extra since December 2023. All of the other games have been on the service for at least one year, or thereabouts.
Are you sad to see any of these games go? Out yourself as one of the only people on the planet that hasn't bought GTA 5 in the comments section below.

Gta5 hasn't been on there long at all. Another reminder why subscriptions are useless for games like that. Linear one and done stuff suits that model.
Does this mean that I have to buy it?
@atthegates Yeah, a six-month deal by the looks of it. Was added to Extra in December 2023.
Honestly, not sure why they bothered.. most of the people who wanted GTA5 already owned it. Seems like a last ditch effort on Rockstar end to try to upsell Online to few other folks before GTA6.
Out of the list, The Talos Principle is the only one I would care to finish before removal, if you have not done so yet.
Might need to finish Talos...
@Cikajovazmaj it’s for the headline. It doesn’t last on Gamepass long either. Would be better if they both stopped wasting their money on it!
Sony NEED to start showing which games we have via PS+ essential vs premium. I have Spongebob via PS+, but I have no idea if it's going to be 'locked' in June because I don't know which program I got it through. This problem didn't exist with PS Now and Plus due to different branding.
I'll have to wrap up my playthrough of The Wild at Heart. Charming little game.
@TrickyDicky99 That's not what i meant. It's the kind of game you come back to for a mess around after finishing it. I think because of this it's not suitable for subs.
@ShogunRok Thought so yeah
It seems that Take Two are just on rolling contracts with PS and MS to swap GTA V and RDR2 between PS+ and GPU between them every 6 months. Can confidentally predict RDR2 will be gone by December
Hopefully this will mean people actually go out and buy GTA and the developer gets some much-needed support
Looks like The Talos Principle just went up in my list of priorities.
Played and beat GTA5 for the first time last year. Wish the single player had more replay value, but I get why they put it in the online mode. I mean, I'd go for all the money too lol.
Also, "There's so much to like about the cheerful, colourful RPG that is Dodgeball Academia" is how the review here for that game starts, and all that I needed to know, cause I'm checking it out this weekend 🤘
Never bought GTA V. I played through the single player via this PS+ promotion. No interest in the online portion of the game or paying for micro transactions. Glad I played it. It was great. No need to buy it now. Maybe if I see it for a quid at a car boot or something.
The one I am sad is leaving is Indivisible. I wanted to play it down the line.
The single player campaign in rdr2 is simply amazing.. but online is trash.. gta v campaign was ok... online is trash... i really really hope the online modes in gta 6 are completely changed. maybe you can log in as a specific role to play like role playing servers do now
Bought GTAV for £8 on ps5, haven't looked at the others.
@AK4tywill PS Plus Essential is an anomaly in Sony's offerings; a vestige of a totally different type of PS Plus. I think even their PS5 UI designers struggle to consistently fit Essential with PS Plus catalogue. But I do wish they somehow find a system to differentiate games added to library through Essential service versus the ones from PS Plus Catalogue.
@AK4tywill
One way I suppose would be to look at when you added it to your library by checking emails or one of the transaction logs. Check the monthly games history online then see if you added it during the month they offered it as a monthly game. Long winded I know, would be easier if they just tagged them.
@Gremio108
😂👍
@Gremio108 They need as much support as I need a chocolate teapot.
