Aspyr has confirmed it's producing physical versions of its Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection, which first released for digital platforms earlier this year across PS5 and PS4. There'll be a standard edition and a Deluxe Edition offered at the usual retail outlets, then there's a Collector's Edition exclusive to Limited Run Games. All three versions will be out on 24th September 2024, with pre-orders for the big Collector's Edition available now.
The base edition will cost £29.99 / $34.99 (£5 / $5 more than the digital price) and simply includes the three remasters in a jewel case on a disc. The Deluxe Edition is then priced at £49.99 / $54.99 and bundles in an exploration map book with "over 80 pages full of secrets, including all maps from all three games and their expansions", a collectible box, and a soundtrack.
Finally, the Collector's Edition exclusive to Limited Run Games is £159.00 / $199.99, and is only available for pre-order until 23rd June 2024. It includes the game on a disc, two replica Lara Croft pistols inside a lit box, three posters, a set of trading cards, a complete soundtrack, a map book, and three Lara Croft figurines based on each game.
Do any of these special editions take your fancy? As detailed in our Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered PS5 review, this is a collection that sets a "new standard for PS1 re-releases". Awarding it an 8/10, we praised its upgraded graphics, tech toggles, and the overall adventure all three titles offer. "Based on the original source code, this trilogy flawlessly reframes three iconic PS1 puzzle platformers as you remember them – warts and all."

Great remaster. Although I tried to beat all 3 games and the expansions one after the other and got major burnout after beating the second game. More of a game I pop back to every now and then to beat a level or two.
I will double dip
I really wanted to buy this collection digital and let my nostalgia for these games take over. But I'm glad I waited. To bad iv and v aren't on the collection. Although they weren't as great as the first 3, it would have made it the complete PSone tomb raider experience.
Yep I'll go for the deluxe edition me thinks
Waiting for this to join PS Plus Premium.
Great news ,I will be buying tomb raider 1,2 and 3 on physical for ps5 ,I don't mind waiting till Sept, all gd as I waited to april 9th to buy pacific drive physical edition
Probably get deluxe edition
Excellent stuff. Glad there’s an option not to support Limited Run.
Shame they have the coolest edition.
I guess im double dipping
@TheAmbienWalrus What's the issue with LRG? Actually curious.
@Jacko11 What's the issue with LRG? Actually curious.
Oh good, I will buy it.
I'm in on the physical, September will be here soon enough!
Guess I'm buying this twice

The figures are pretty good but LRG is so bleh.
At least the regular physical is at the usual retailers.
Ooooh very nice so glad I holded off getting the remasters so far.
Definitely gonna get the physical version, probably go for the deluxe edition.
So glad this will be available to get more proper retailers, LRG are such a scummy company
@Jacko11 Not to mention that they were also accursed of selling CD-R discs in a recent limited printrun.
@PerpetualBoredom In addition to what others have said... What LRG do sounds good in theory, but in practice I've never liked them because they artificially create scarcity on the runs of games they produce. These are generally games that either have never had a physical release or haven't in a long time, collectors want them, but rather than take preorders and make sure there's enough made for all, they limit it (yes, I know that's literally the name of their company) and then the scalpers stick their copies on eBay for five times the price. It doesn't even make much sense as a business model to my layman's mind.
The standard will probably be fine for me although I wish it had an instruction manual. I miss those things.
@Kidfunkadelic83 I will be double dipping also. I thought about holding off to see if a physical edition would be released, but really wanted to support these remasters so went ahead and got the digital. Haven't regretted it. Hoping we'll at least get TR4 Remastered next.
@jorel262 Perp games who also specialise in more niche titles (for example they are doing quite a few psvr2 ones ATM) produce standard edition versions which commonly include a booklet. I recently purchased Vertigo 2 for psvr2 and was surprised it contain a neat booklet showcasing the enemies of the game. These little touches are much appreciated.
Thanks for reporting on this properly and mentioning all the various physical editions, not just the Limited Run ones, unlike Nintendo Life. Much more helpful for us readers to have the full news and not just bits cherry picked by the writer.
For some reason the Deluxe edition has only PS5 and not PS4 version?
As for LRG I don't get why the create "scarcity" themselves on their products. Due to "fomo" I got the Castlevania Requem and the first collection but missed the advance and now I can't buy it, not that I need it since I have digital versions and the old cartridges of all the games from back in the day.
Also, their shipping to EU is expensive. A 30 dollar game does not include VAT so all 30 dollar games end costing about 60 euros.
Don't forget, if you want the platinum trophies, make sure you pick up the PS4 version - PS5 doesn't have them.
That's good, I'll definitely support this, despite the weird nonsense from Sony about the PS5 non platinum.
This is an amazing Collector's Edition.
Pre-ordered!
@TheAmbienWalrus some guy on X said the shipping cost for one of the edition was £71
@AK4tywill definitely going for this version. 🙌
@belmont Videogamesplus has the Castlevania Advance collection on PS4, Switch and Xbox 1

@TheAmbienWalrus But with LRG the games are mostly fully patched or dis thar change so LRG it is for me.
Ah, thank christ it's not just Limited Run — I'll definitely be snagging this
@TimeDelayedGamer damn, thanks for the comprehensive answer <3
It's a shame, being a collector myself...
@TheAmbienWalrus sheeeet 😂
@CaptD WTH?!
@jorel262 so bad...!
@TheAmbienWalrus shipping is at 40 bucks for me.
might pick it up for ps5 and switch.
@Andee only one.
might pick it up for ps5 and switch.
@TimeDelayedGamer yeah, a volume 2 with TLR/C/AoD, and a volume 3 with Legend/Anniversary/Underworld would be just dandy
@Andee We can but hope!
The development team have done such a good job on these remasters that I would also love it if they made their own new Tomb Raider campaign in retro style (grid system/tank controls etc) to flesh out a volume two, if say, AoD wasn't possible, for example. Kind of like what Dimension of the Machine was to the Quake remaster.
@TimeDelayedGamer yeah, AoD would require a fair bit of work — essentially completing a game that was clearly never released in a finished state.
@TheAmbienWalrus I live in the Netherlands and i know your pain that insane shipping thats why i try to buy a few things at the same time.
@AndyKazama that's the collector's edition, unfortunately. I was all ready to get it but £71 on shipping pushes the £160 edition up well over £200 so nah.
