Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is mounting up for its first DLC story pack, and Ubisoft has given us our first look at The Sky Breaker, which will see a mysterious shadow looming in the sky, threatening the Na'vi clans, who really can't seem to catch a break. It arrives on PS5 next month, on 16 July.
The Sky Breaker will take players to The Heart of the Plains, an unexplored area of the Upper Plains. Familiar biomes here have bloomed into new variations, and there are many new ones, too. Of course, the RDA has deployed new enemy types, too, so you must stay on guard. Thankfully, it's not all doom and gloom, and players can look forward to partaking in timed challenges during the Na'vi Festival of Games for something a little less harrowing. Another story pack, Secrets of the Spires, is still slated to come to the game in future.

It is a fantastic game for chilling out and enjoying some nice visuals on the PS5, but not the kinda game one worries about DLC for, save the niche “never let the party die” anecdote about playing with a child or other helpless family member.
@fancy_bandage_PSN yeah it's a nice game to visit for the visuals, but every system in it feels half-baked...and I kind of maybe can't stand Avatar, I think.
Really enjoyed the game so I’ll get this sooner or later, if only to explore more of Pandora 🙂
@mac_da_man same here, I'll probably pick up the season pass when everything's out and a bit cheaper.
I love the Avatar movies and enjoyed the game but the story in the game was kinda weak. I think it would have been better if we got to play as both Na’vi and RDA like the PS3 game. The PS3 game captured the look and feel of the movies better.
Let’s put it straight: this game sucks and almost nobody is interested in that DLC.
I'm a few hours in and enjoying it. The only thing lacking for me is the side quests - lots of generic one-off NPCs giving you menial tasks which is typical Ubisoft. They'd have been better off having fewer quest givers and longer story arcs.
Combat is almost there but not-quite, but is more than serviceable. But it's a nice change of pace than the usual 'everything in your face all at once' Farcry style, and think the game stands well on its own two feet.
If only they would release a DLC that allowed you to play as the RDA, so you could go around exterminating all the tree-hugging, mystic mumbo-jumbo spouting blue aliens, it would definitely be a Day One purchase for me. Victory to the humans!
