Remember when Ubisoft announced Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition last year after the whole thing was leaked? Well, the publisher said we'd hear more about the remaster in 2024, but it's been silent on the matter ever since.
However, the title has now reappeared via a newly discovered Trophy list, which can be viewed on tracking sites like Exophase. More often than not, the sudden appearance of a full Trophy list means that the game's release is imminent. We'd bet on it being officially dated during Nintendo's previously announced June Direct, which is obviously expected to drop in the very near future.
The Trophy list only exists for PS5 at the time of writing, by the way — not PS4. No specific PlayStation platforms had been confirmed before now.

Never got a chance to play this game, Is it good?
@kingtoten It was unique and forward-thinking in some ways back when it first released. Hard to say whether the gameplay holds up today.
@kingtoten It's quite dated but I think it has a style and gameplay loop that's still unique.
I’m excited to give this a try. I never played the original to its full extent even though I remember enjoying what I played. Can’t wait for this to release.
Given the lack of hype for this,one wonders how much of an effort has been made here...an upped rezzed PS3HD version? I'd be interested,but the biggest turn off as you went further was the God awful camera & clunky controls into some rather maze like sections...you just feel rather lost!
One to watch a review on first & cross fingers.
Hey, Ubisoft, how about a new Rayman game since it’s been 11 years since Legends.
I would like to give this a go if it's a decent remaster effort. Liked it in 2003 on GameCube but didn't finish it.
It would feel like a breath of fresh air to play now I think
I never played the game but I'm interested when this gets released.
Great game.
20 years ago.
@ShogunRok Does the 2nd game still hold up😏
Really want to play this one. Try the steam version but it’s in french language so I refunded it.
Always wanted to play it. A very relevant piece of gaming history.
Wasn’t there an ad for a sequel at one point? Whatever happened to that?
@AhmadSumadi
Development hell. That trailer feels like forever ago. What was it maybe 5 years ago or more? Guess it's lost in videogame purgatory along with Mega man legends 3. 😉
I honestly didn't even know they announced this, thanks for making this article!
@AhmadSumadi @Truegamer79 They did that weird modern trailer over five years ago... but there were other trailers before that, going back to 2008!
@Truegamer79 I read that the lead developer died aged 40. It’s just not supposed to happen, I guess.
@AhmadSumadi
Yeah sometimes it just wasn't meant to be. Like alot of movies that get cancelled. Game probably would have sucked or failed expectations anyway from the looks of it.
Never played it back in the day. Bought it for Xbox thanks to retrocompatibility for like 2 dollars and still haven't played.
It's got charm which is sadly lacking from a lot of games nowadays.
@kingtoten Its definitely worth your time. Just manage your expectations going in as its a 21 yr old game. But if you can look past that then you'll have a great experience!
