Secret Agent Clank is arguably the most easily forgotten Ratchet & Clank game, along with failed tower defence title Full Frontal Assault. Developed by High Impact Games – the creators of Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters – and released on the PSP in 2008, the title casts a tuxedoed Clank as its protagonist, with a bunch of James Bond-esque gadgetry to help him through the campaign.
And an erroneous email spotted by series superfan Radec on X (or Twitter) suggests an emulated version of the outing may be imminent. In it, the platform holder teases a trio of PS Plus Premium games, including the recently re-released Summoner, Jeanne d’Arc, and, yes, Secret Agent Clank. It’s possible whoever was writing the copy got muddled up with Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, but we still reckon a re-release is imminent.
Secret Agent Clank actually pre-dates Push Square’s creation by approximately six or so months, so we never got around to reviewing the game when it was new. This author played and beat the game on PSP, though, and while it’s clearly not up to the standards of other mainline Ratchet & Clank games, found it entertaining enough. We’d certainly welcome its addition to PS Plus Premium.

If it is, we would greatly prefer the PS2 version, which apart from the better controls the PSP couldnt manage, they actually rebalanced a few things in the game, including how many bolts you earn. So you go from perpetual poor, to actually buying stuff.
Also, good luck with the Platinum trophy. If you thought buying the RYNO at the bolt cap and doing at least two NG+ runs of Size Matters was bad, this game has invisible well hidden codes to find in NG+, and three super hidden keycards the game never mentions that unlocks an item that you can use only via a cheat code.
And you KNOW theyll include that in the trophies.
@Haruki_NLI I actually didn't know they rebalanced it for PS2. I thought that was a direct port. Good info!
@get2sammyb Yeah, they redid loads of assets too, but mainly made enemy bolt drops much more valuable (I.e. usable).
@Haruki_NLI I guess the problem in this case is that the PSP emulation on PS5/PS4 is better than the PS2 emulation!!!
I'm in for any R&C ports, but I really want Crack in Time. Easily the pinnacle of the series imo.
Ha awesome I’m loving premium right now
@Haruki_NLI The PS2 version loading times are scary though
I love Clank but, have never really enjoyed playing as him.
I'd love to see this one pop up on Premium
I'd take it above Size Matters, but I'm still just waiting for ANY of the PS2 classics.
Hmmm I’d prefer Sly 2 or the first R&C tbh
