The upsettingly named Slitterhead, from Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama and the team at Bokeh Game Studio, continues to writhe towards a November 8th release on PS5 and PS4. We got a story trailer to shed some light on this mysterious, monster-infested world.
Players will explore the futuristic streets of Kowlong as the Hyoki, a being without memory or physical form, who must eradicate the horrible beings known as Slitterheads ravaging the city. Along the way, players will encounter nefarious organisations, unexpected allies, and plenty of disturbing, tentacled monstrosities.
Honestly, we're still kind of in the dark, but we suppose that's partly the point. Announced back in 2021, Slitterhead has been slinking about in the shadows for a while now, and it will be interesting to come to grips with it relatively soon.
Are you on board for Slitterhead? Why do these monstrous enemies, and by extension, the game, need to be called that? Let us know in the comments section below.

This looks so bonkers. Day 1
I just know there’s an acronym hidden somewhere.
I hope the animations have been improved since last trailer.
Oooh, didn't realise this had a release date.
This is the most PS3 game I’ve seen since that time I played games on the PS3
Looks a little lower budget but that's fine new studios don't have hundreds of people and certainly not the same budget. But it looks kinda cool something else.
I want to like this, but the PS3 demo-vibes this gives off is so off-putting!
The more I see of this the less interested I am in it, but I’m hoping to be proven wrong.
After watching the trailer, i still don't have a solid idea about wtf is this game about outside you can play multiple characters, changing between them with mechanic similar like sightjacking from Siren, and fighting monsters.
But this game and Kunitsu Gami definitely gave a PS2 era vibe games where devs aren't afraid to make weird-unique games. Sadly, i doubt this game will sell well or at least break even...and then gamers gonna complaint why devs only do open world / cinematic games over and over again.
Might be a decent Halloween pick up (belated) if the price is right.
Where are the UK physical preorders at?!
Really hoping this turns out great 🤞🏼
The Summer Games Fest trailer was disappointing but this trailer has me interested, being from Keiichiro Toyama also has me intrigued. Could be a dark blend of Ghostwire Tokyo and Forbidden Siren but it's still unclear how it'll play but still worth keeping an eye on.
My credit card is going to melt this autumn.
i hope its great , i hope its also priced right , like 40$. at that price i think it will do well. if its a full 70$ i think that will kill this game. and this is coming from some one that think it looks good enough to be full price , but i think that will turn a lot of people off this game. it feels very niche. giving an example if sony picked this game up and used a better game engine , i think people would be all over this game if sony studios popped up. i hope people give it a shot though.
I'm excited for this. Toyama does some good work.
@Flaming_Kaiser which is funny considering when he was still at Japan studio Sony wanted to give him a bigger budget and he turned them down.
Parasyte: The Maxim vibes
Love a bit of Japanese horror! Utterly grotesque and somehow always seem unique. Still have a sealed copy of Siren Blood Curse in my collection and I’m down for some of this too
I'm not a horror fan, but I'll probably get this game. The music sounds good.
This has that Janky-but-swanky look to it, not sure if I'll pick it up day one but it'll be soon after launch... I'm expecting to be elbow deep in DA:VG during all of November
@Areus I think he wants to be independent even if it means a little less money.
