We've been putting a lot of our hopes and dreams for happiness and fulfilment into the Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions basket ever since it was announced. With its release right around the corner (3rd September), it's starting to get real. Warner Bros. has summoned a nostalgic trailer, reminding us all of why we love the fictional wizarding sport, and we can't wait to start beating Bludgers.
Apparently quite a bit more in-depth than you might expect, Quidditch Champions sports a full single-player campaign. It will take players to schools never before featured in the Harry Potter books, films, or related media. It will also be available via PS Plus, and there will be no microtransactions. We're starting to suspect this one could be quite big.

Where are your Quidditch Champions hype levels at? What position do you play? Dodge, duck, dip, and dive into the comments section below.

Bad joke incoming…
WB Sports: it’s in the game
But in all seriousness, I’m looking more forward to the campaign for this one than I ever thought I would be. I suspect this game will surprise a lot of people with how good it is.
I remember a friend of mine playing the gamecube Quidditch game quite a bit, he showed it to me a few times. I tried playing it but never really got into it, but I'd like to give this a try.
Its not something (quidditch) im too interested in but for those who are, im actually glad they left this out of Hogwarts Legacy last year - they couldnt have done it justice, without impacting on the story based game and (for a rare occasion in this industry) a standalone game appears to be a better idea.
From what I can gather in the youtube comments the devs has over simplified the game introducing dual roles and stat progression upgrades over raw skill in a bid to appeal to mass market which will diminish the competitive aspect of the sport.
Regardless, I'll still check it out. But this is not a gameplay video sadly just a trailer. The fact that they still haven't released a full gameplay video is worrying..
There is still very little in-game footage in the trailer.
Mostly movie clips, I think.
Will this game get the same attention to detail that we saw in Hogwarts Legacy? It is simply too soon to tell.
But it looks good, so far.
Considering how alarmingly broken Quidditch is in the source material, I'd be intrigued to see how well it holds up in an actual videogame.
@Icey664 to be fair quidditch isn’t competitive ever. The rules make little sense and griffindor always wins.
