Promising open world extraction shooter Exoborne has locked in a 2025 launch on PS5, and we got a pretty darn exciting look at gameplay in a new trailer courtesy of Gematsu. Expect to see more from this one at Gamescom next week, and a closed beta test has been promised for the coming months.
Described as a tactical open world extraction shooter, Exoborne is set in an apocalyptic US wracked by extreme weather events. Players form groups of Reborn, hardy survivors able to use Exo-Rigs to survive the elements, fighting off other opportunists for the remaining scraps, with dynamic weather events adding some unpredictability to the mix. Public events will offer better equipment but will also be hotly contested, and the extraction style of gameplay means players are risking everything currently carried with each run.

What do you think of Exoborne? Does it look like something worth watching? Hold onto your hats in the comments section below.

This looks wild. Definitely keeping my eye on it. Gives me big "early 2000s shooter" vibes. And that's very much a good thing.
lol it’s funny how sharkmob made a battle royle and then went and said let’s ride trends again and make an extraction shooter. This game is probably gonna fail hard lol.
Couldn’t care less. This developer has a very very bad reputation as having not a clue how to balance or optimize and anyone who remembers Bloodhunt would do well to steer clear. Annoying.
