The Plucky Squire is a promising upcoming action adventure game, a dimension-defying storybook quest with a whole lot of heart. Developer All Possible Futures has revealed that the colourful indie will get a physical release on PS5, which is good news for all you collectors; however, this version won't be ready in time for the game's 17th September launch, following shortly afterwards.
On X, the developers signalled their support of all things physical, pledging that boxed copies of the game would be coming as swiftly as possible. Available on PS Plus Extra from day one, The Plucky Squire thrusts players into the animated shoes of Jot, who is able to leap from the pages of the very story he is the star of, taking advantage of the third dimension and, in some cases, our own reality.
What do you think of The Plucky Squire? Will you be putting a copy of this particular story on your shelf? Let us know in the comments section below.

I won't buy physical games anymore, so not for me, but It's great that they do it for all the people who loves the physical format
Good. Guess i'll wait for the physical now😁
I'll play it on Extra anyway, it would have to be a classic to convince me to then go on and buy a physical edition. But I know lots of people still love physical media so I'm happy they have the option.
Physical baby I'm there.
I’ll play it day one with PS plus but I’ll still buy it physically as well.
I love Devolver’s deluxe editions especially Cult of the Lamb’s deluxe edition
Will try it on Extra but physical copy might be bought for the Switch.
So have they announced how much it will cost yet? I'm figuring $40, maybe $30 digital, but you'd think if we know it's digital first, and on PS+ EXTRA, then physical later, we'd know how much it was going to be by now.
I know a lot of people don't care about price but some of us do. And it's not a matter of all PS5 games being $70 either, Astrobot is $60, they already told us that.
Edit: Had the price of Astrobot as $50, not $60, for reasons I still don't understand.
@rjejr Astro Bot will be $60, not $50. I agree, it's quite odd there's no price for The Plucky Squire when we're so close to release.
Fine with me PS+ launch and if really good consider disc release later.
@yohn777 Thanks. Funny story, I've been thinking Astrobot was $50 for about a month now, since it's been on here so often, and just yesterday I realized it was actually $60, not $50, and I was like "uh oh, I've been writing $50 everywhere" so I went looking to correct my mistake, but couldn't find any. So at least now I can correct this one. I put off buying it, $60 seems a bit much. And it seems destined for PS+ Extra sooner rather than later.
