We've been hoping Trombone Champ would make it onto PS5 ever since we first caught wind of it, and it's finally happening — but not quite in the way we expected. Holy Wow Studios and Flat2VR Studios have announced Trombone Champ: Unflattened, a virtual reality adaptation of the viral rhythm title, and it's heading to PSVR2 later this year.
Unflattened is a "reimagined" version of Trombone Champ that brings the experience into VR; instead of playing your trombone on a 2D plane, you're placed in the shoes of the trombonist, attempting to hit the notes as they come towards you in first person.
The game contains 50 songs to play along to, various trombones to unlock, customisation options, and collectible cards full of trombone lore. It looks like a pretty great rendition of Trombone Champ; though we'd have never thought of it, VR suits the game rather well.

It's something I guess.
Not too interested in this, but Flatout looked brilliant from Flat2VR Studios. Really hope it all goes well for them and they keep delivering.
