You may want to prep some paracetamols, because Sony’s new Tokyo Game Show montage trailer goes hard. The theme this time revolves around Astro Bot, who’s inexplicably become a DJ and is rapping about all the great games coming to PS5. To be fair, this is one helluva lineup, and we’re sure everyone can see at least one title they want from the following list:
- Monster Hunter Wilds
- Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
- Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-2025
- Dynasty Warriors: Origins
- Slitterhead
- Metaphor: ReFantazio
- Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
- The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria
- Astro Bot
- Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven
- Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival
- Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream
- LEGO Horizon Adventures
- Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact
- Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
- Sonic X Shadow Generations
- 34EVERLAST
- Zenless Zone Zero
PS5 sales have been struggling a little bit in Japan since Sony increased the price, so there’s still a lot of work for the platform holder to do in its home territory. Hopefully, this compelling list of software will help the console – and it can get the price down a bit in the future.

LoH Kai No Kiseki and Sonic X Shadow Generations for me, personally! The rest I really just can't care enough about.. except for the dragonball z one but I'll pick that one up once it's price goes under 30 bucks
Japan getting an actual next gen baseball game.
Be sure to stay for the credits
Great trailer but I'm not jazzed for any of the games, except for MHW maybe..
This was really well done, but the one thing that stuck out to me the most was the lyric that said something along the lines of "over 40 classes, but it really doesn't matter." I don't know if it's the translation, but that seems a bit like undercutting the game you are advertising (the Atlus one).
I wish Western PlayStation were a little more like this with their marketing. That ad was fun as hell.
A bit bummed that Astro's sales on japan have been abysmal, hopefully Sony is not going to give up on the good ol' Bot or on Asobi
@Ribbitsneed it probably made a profit but people thinking it’s a huge hit are delusional.
@Shad361 Unfortunately true. Most gamers only want generic superhero games or walking simulators these days. That, or horrible live service crap like Fortnite. Damn shame most players (Including the ones in Japan), lost their sense of self and imagination
There isn't a single game on here that I am excited about, half I haven't heard of (no surprise there since this a TOKYO game show and not aiming at western audiences). I fear I am losing my child-like joy for video games.
This video is so awesome!
I demand this becomes the standard format for all State of Play presentations going forward!
This ad would have sold me any console I still hadn't got. Such a good group of games, and good vibe!
