Having previously been pencilled in for a late 2024 launch, we've now got confirmation that Fantasian Neo Dimension is adventuring to PS5 and PS4 on the 5th December. The RPG — spearheaded by Hironobu Sakaguchi himself — first released through Apple Arcade a few years back, but this console debut enhances the experience with voice acting and rebalanced gameplay systems.
We actually spoke to Sakaguchi-san not too long ago, and got to ask him all about the project as a whole. It was an enlightening conversation:

Show of hands, anyone seeing gamrplay footage for the first time? Raising my hand cuz I won’t lie this is my first but it looks legitimately decent. The fact it respects the camera angles in the PS1 FFs just tickles my nostalgia bones in the best ways.
Really interested with this game. But man, so many interesting games but not enough money to buy them all >.<
Stoked to give this a go!
The backgrounds are all hand-made dioramas. That's what initially got me interested before learning it was an Apple Arcade exclusive... until now.
Finally a Mystwalker game on Playstation. Hopefully one day Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey can be liberated
I miss seeing his name with Final Fantasy titles.
Also is it just me or is he aging very slowly? 👍
This looks like the most JRPG a JRPG can be, if it’s relatively cheap I’d definitely be tempted.
A £50 price tag for a mobile game port that was available three years ago with a £7 subscription?
I'll pick it up when it's on sale because it's Mistwalker, but who are they expecting to pay that?
